I would think as more players enter the transfer portal they would At least be told they are going all in on Stevens so the risk of them bolting is lower right?@Chris007

Not sure but the explanation that makes the most sense to me is: some contractual complications to work through AND Boston was about to embark on a week long road trip. Perhaps easier just to lead the team through that and extricate yourself from the contract thereafter.

Not to mention he has a family with kids in school. Don’t want to move them when this past school year has already been a flaming pile of crap. Much simpler to get the process moving post season.

I can’t answer that. I did hear we told Brayden Smith that he’s our number 1 target this summer and we’re 90% sure Brad Stevens will be the next coach. Not sure why would say that so don’t ask.

If it wasn’t a raise that made Stevens go quiet, I would guess there is some contract obligation, where he couldn’t leave. Also, I agree with Spe about his kids not wanting to leaving in the middle semester and waiting until like May/June.

Yes. Gonzaga reached out plus some other big time programs. One high school coach who won state a couple of years ago told me a month ago he was the best player in the state. Couldn’t believe no big schools hadn’t offered
