In fact, he has gone on to make this kind of a joke, like there was never any shred of truth to the rumors at all. and then we have bloggers stating we offered Matta, he accepted But failed a health test and Indiana who has been mum, reaches out to refute all that. then we have goodman saying Drew, an Indiana native and one of the hottest coaches in p5 would be interested but IU has not reached out this has been strange to say the least And all of this is speculation, hidden behind a shroud of secrecy by an AD playing this one incredibly close to his chest... just waiting to be surprised and thrilled in a good way. And if he hires someone completely underwhelming instead... Drew is one of the best candidates on the market. If he’s interested then you do what it takes to get him. Period. Two Elite Eight's in 18 years... Wins.. but so did CTC and Alford. Wanted to deport our boy Hanner. Scott was here for all of that. He grew up in Indiana and thats his only connection. might as well as Popavich if he wants to come. He's from Indiana!

I just don't see that happening. That is nuking one of the most important bridges for an IU coach before ever setting foot on campus. It was an assistant, not Drew. Also, are the same people running that AAU program? All of those kids and parents are gone. He seems to have recruited quite well since then, hasn’t seemed to hurt one bit. I would take his recruiting and coaching any day Hoosierfan2017, FritzIam4IU and CSP 2 1

Elite Eight Drew still have two more games to go before I'd even consider him.

So just letting you know that I will be letting every single player that is in my program know what this guy did to Perea and what kind of snake he is. Additionally, I will do everything in my power to keep him away from my kids. He has shown me in the past that he doesn't have their best interests at heart." That is a bit over the top but you better believe that there is a grudge there and having Indiana Elite steering the best players from this state to another program would make this job more difficult then it should be. Look what happened to Crean when he lost the support of the Indiana coaches. The recruiting dried up. Now we can build a roster off of guys outside of Indiana, but that is much, much more difficult then having a home base to fall back on. CSP, Stuhoo, raorIU and 1 other 4

Indiana Elite is still ran by the same people and they don’t like Drew either. That’s a bigger problem than even Dolson not liking him. IU Prof Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 (edited) If you take Dolson at his word from the press conference, he wants someone innovative with his pulse on where the game is going offensively, and a modern style that appeals to recruits. To me, that means Stevens, Oats, Drew, or Beilein, and maybe Musselman. Not Beard, not Matta, not Moser. Edit: Enfield might fit too, but would generally be a bad idea for other reasons (mediocre track record, lack of Midwest connections, ties to the FBI scandal, etc.). It doesn’t take a genius to know that it’s a bad idea to hire a 63 year old coach with no college coaching experience and mediocre NBA head coaching results when you’re on a 5 year tournament drought and fan apathy is the highest it’s been in decades. If Mike Woodson is a serious candidate but Scott Drew isn’t then maybe Dolson should be sitting with the fans.
