Where's Turgeon!? I guess Ant Wright @TheDMV was trolling just as we thought.

There seems to be others missing too…

btw, anyone figured out how to actually bet? I’ve been to the site and can’t find it.

Just saw a article on MSN  headline reads 8 coaches have turned IU down . Anyway  no idea about a guy named Tipton from on 3 sports saying its down to Brownell and McCollum  so is this guy credible ?

No.  That was an AI article.  Tipton put out a story, but only saying 2 coaches turned us down and mentioned another 6 coaches in the article, but didn't say we were turned down.  Ignore.

Also, ESPN just showed the Notre Dame leprechaun for a solid 30 seconds and I had a visceral reaction. Notre Dame makes me irrationally angry.

Well, I live 30 miles from Notre Dame...how do you think I feel!...

So I saw Will Sheehey referenced a couple hundred pages back.  Maybe we should get back to that please.

Discussion that he might be in the mix for a front office-esque role.

Rumors, no substantiation. But I like the sound of it and hope it's true. He's been doing a great job with the Warriors from all accounts.

I think I have figured out why Stevens was in Charlotte watching ND today. He is there to bring Shrewsbury with him to IU as an assistant coach and both of their sons are coming as well.
Yes...I like this. He would be a fine assistant. However, that's not possible because Shrewsbury also enjoys who he works with. We are looking for a coach who currently despises his current employer and coworkers.

Please lord let it be Will Wade with all the McCollum and Brownhole talk.  That to me would be a great hire beyond the Stevens/whoeverelseisntcoming list.  Beard and Wade were the best realistic coaches we could get IMO.

Dolson hiring a guy once under FBI investigation would be something

I haven't been able to keep up with the thread today, but from what I've read so far...

Venture a guess, a super high % of people would judge Crean's hiring / tenure as a failure. I find that thought provoking.

Of course he didn't have the success IU fans desire, to be sure... and it was definitely time to go...

Say what you will about there having been better hires available (though I seriously question how many of them were actually willing to step into the situation Crean dove into head first) ...gripes about administrations aside...

Championships and F4s are not "the standard" at IU. Haven't been for decades. That's the ambition. Gotta evolve into that.

Crean left the program better off than he found it. That's all you can realistically ask for in a hiring decision IMO.

After Archie and Woodson... we are in a similar position of needing someone who can do the same.

Adjusting my expectations for the hire accordingly and if it's a more established name I'll be very pleasantly surprised.

Still time to get on the Huss Buss...

And McCollum is not afraid of the big stage or picking fights on Twitter, lol

So ready for IUBB to be well coached again, whoever ends up on the sidelines

Please please be McDermott

I don't think our coaching list is down to those coaches...but if it is (in theory), sadly I would take McDermott too.

Was Brad just waiting for the Notre Dame season to end to remove all distractions? Seems like a reasonable thing to believe and conclude in the world that I’m currently living in. Let’s ride!

He didn't want his son to have to field questions about transferring.
