Interesting. I wouldn’t love the Buzz Williams hire if we went that route but we could certainly do worse.

He's never coached somewhere with the sort of resources Indiana has, but he’s also never had to deal with the pressure of a job like this.

He’s a decent coach and I’d be willing to give him a shot. Assuming that this flight means anything; in all likelihood it does not.

I want a big name coach because I feel that is what the fanbase needs and I think a big name can handle the pressure of this fan base. This isn't the same hire imo as all of our others. This is the worst shape we have been in imo. Sampson leaving was ugly but it wasn't much for crean to get the fans behind what he was building. This day and age there is no patience rightly so for a rebuild. Whoever takes this job better be ready to win on day 1. If he is one of the lower level guys the pressure will start day 1 imo. I hope dolson knows what's at stake. If I had to take a lower coach you guys have sold me on mccolum. I guess he has won at lower levels so hopefully it translates. We are a mess

Owned by someone in Deleware and travels multiple places each week.

My understanding is these things are often registered to a vague, aviation LLC so those frequenting the flights are kept private.
It’s not going to be registered to Scott Dolson IU Coaching Search LLC

That would be a lot easier to read hahaha, the address leads to the CSC headquarters so there is that.

When do teams generally arrive at their tournament venues? Squeezing a meeting in between Tuesday evening and then playing Thursday seems tight. Certainly possible I'm sure.

I don't disagree with any of that but I'm discouraged by how widespread the idea is that this coach NEEDS to be a big name.

Just doesn't strike me as a reasonable expectation based on where the program is in 2025.

Fans can have their own expectation, but IMO it doesn't make sense to say if it's not Stevens, Donovan, or Wright it's disappointing.

IUBB is very much in the same place as IUFB has been... Set history to the side, it's a run of the mill B10 program.

IMO we don't have the pull for a big name right now. The good news, Cig shows all it takes is making the right hire... once.

And the right hire doesn't have to be the most popular.
