Baylor is in a better conference

Baylor is not in the SEC or B1G so a coach on the outside of those 2 conferences might want to jump to the 2 cash cows.   Doesn’t matter if the Big 12 basketball wise is better then the B1G it’s definitely not better financially

  1. His pastor interests in Waco have been established and are sustaining, so he may be looking to have an impact in an unexplored community.

An under appreciated really funny element of this is that Drew’s wife supposedly wanted no part of Lexington because she thought the environment was too decadent but she may possibly be down with…..Bloomington.

Haven’t been back in a minute, but that’s not 1 of the selling points I would have anticipated.

Maybe not that day.  It’s the first round so teams at the bottom of the conference will be playing each other on espn+.    Bellarmine and Western Georgia more than likely.  @johnsoniu

@Ryno6284

might be the only ones sick enough to be watching with me

Never miss a chance to bet against the Fightin' Knights. Unless they're playing West Georgia lol

I don’t understand why Scott Drew would leave Baylor for Indiana. Baylor is in a better conference, better facilities, and he’s a legend there. NIL isn’t an issue either at Baylor.

Not sure about Baylor NIL, but the Big XII is ripe for picking up coaches. When profit sharing goes into effect the Big XII and ACC will fall behind the SEC and Big Ten. Ambitious couches will see the increased financial support offered at a school in the Big Ten/SEC as paramount to winning a championship. That’s why getting a solid coach is so important right now. The landscape is changing and IU has the opportunity to be elite again.
