I have never heard of a specific date. I have not personally heard of a signing yet. I have heard many different people say Scott has his man. I have also heard that if so many people know it's done it's going to leak sooner rather later. I have spoken with @BehindTheBench and believe he has good info. I think that date he is saying is because it will be at the end of the regular season and people will speak more freely.

Be wary of chatter. Coaches who know they’re at the top of an AD’s target list don’t require their media pals to start whisper campaigns for their candidacy. Often times the more you hear a coach’s name, the further towards the bottom they reside on the program’s candidate list.

Haven’t heard any chatter about Dolson’s close buddy Alford.

I will say the idea of Collins is growing on me , I do think he’d do really well with IUs resources and commitment to Hoops . Would LOVE Drew or Otz (which seems to have a little smoke) seems  SD is sticking to his guns in hiring a P4 guy thats demonstrated success ! That’s got me excited .

Side note on this, I was at IU vs Purdue the other day. Was pleasantly surprised to see us not rush the court. Security definitely thought it was going to happen but was happy it didn't And I say this as someone who has zero issues with storming courts.

TJ Otzelberger reportedly renegotiated his contract to lower his buyout to $4 million in December.

What if Dolson has had his guy in place for a while, but it's TJ, not Brad?

Edit: This would also explain the relative lack of noise on the search front, Brad's statement to Goodman, and the recent Otz smoke...

It’s a good thought but not what happened because of the buyout. I don’t believe Otz is the one clamoring for iu job

Can’t imagine he wouldn’t. Man, if UT moves on from Terry that job is gonna get some guys paid. Every agent in the country will get their guy’s name attached to that job.

I was 8 when we made our 2002 run. My dad, an alum, took as all out to Chili’s at like 11pm the night we beat Duke to celebrate. Little kid me and my siblings had so much fun that night. Unfortunately I am the only one of us three that remains an IU fan to this day.

I was there with family in the last row in Rupp Arena.  Had thrown in the towel at the half.  Had to eat that same towel in the 2nd half.  Wow!

So many wonderful memories from just that one game.  Kentucky fans were cheering for IU.  They hate Dook.

AJ Moye's block of future NBA All Star Boozer's attempted dunk.

Jared Jeffries on fire.  A superb team with teamwork.  

Drama on steroids.

No.1 Dook goes down!

IU reaches the Final game the next week.

Last row in the arena...great seats, I kid you not.
