I've been struggling to put together my Wishlist of candidates and I finally did so today. I kept Jay Wright and Tony Bennett off the list because I think they are done with the current state of the game but I would love either. I also didn't add Dusty May because of the recent extension, but he was my #1 before that occurred.

1) Brad Stevens (obviously #1 and many believe not likely, but I am hopeful).

2) Scott Drew (if he can build a program in Baylor, Indiana should be easy)

3) Chris Beard (I get the controversy and the unlikelihood, but he would get this program rolling)

4) Josh Schertz - I just really like the guy. I think he gets it and I loved watching his Indiana State teams play. Lots of fun. Does he have the personality for the big stage? 

5) Everyone else is a tie for me (Grant McCasland, Ben McCollum, TJ Otz, Mark Few)

I firmly believe all these guys would kill it here. So give me anyone of these guys and let's go dominate again.

Playing the piano is a great way to pass the time when it’s snowy and the moose are munching on your plants outside your home. Well 2 weeks ago Thursday there was some chatter from Trilly that Brad had a couple weeks to get back to IU. Obviously lots has happened since then but tomorrow, I believe, is the two weeks “deadline.”

Now of course if he wants more time you make it work. But I wonder if tomorrow there could be some heat or some docusigning.

We have a very very close friend that works in the Athletics Department with ties to Varsity Club

 

We met them out last weekend and of course I asked if they had any inside information on the coaching search ………

 

They have heard nothing. Absolutely nothing.

 

This is my way of saying that I really appreciate those that do hear things AND then share that information with this forum. Keep it coming.  

 

But boy do I have stories about Kelvin Sampson LOL.

Difficult to imagine that Dolson wouldn’t have come to Brad the first time with a spectacular package that Brad felt he couldn’t say no to.  Especially if they had been in close communication for months.  A million or so more for staff or rev share wouldn’t require beating the drum again with donors.  Something about that angle doesn’t add up for me?
