we have been irrelevant for quite some time.  if becoming relevant means hiring Cronin(which some think is a boring hire) and we settle for yearly tourney appearances, sprinkling in runs to the sweet 16s and sometimes further, by all means sign me up.  We have not had this type of success in quite some time. If you think otherwise, you are blind.  Rome was not built overnight.

He wins, google him(no shot at Cig here).  With how NIL in constructed, when/if he is the coach and he gets IU back to winning(winning cures alot) those kids leaving Indiana to go elsewhere will want to come to IU and play.  I am looking at you Mullins here.

Yes, I want more banners on the wall. But let's be honest, how many posters here actually saw the last title that IU won?  Not me, I was boring in 1990.  Get this team back to constant tourney runs, big ten champions, etc and let the rest fall into place.

My wife said I was boring in 1990 also! Just having fun with you.

In a world where words dance and cleverly chime,

Rico declared with a laugh, “I’m not one for rhyme!”

With a wink and a grin, he claimed it was crime,

To force every thought into metrical time.

He’d rather speak freely than play with the sound,

Said his mind was too vast to be tightly bound.

“Why must I conform to this rhythmic round?

Let my thoughts flow like rivers, unshackled and unbound!”

I grew up following UC, before switching to IU after a move. I enjoyed watching Cronin once a year in the tournament, mostly for his teams’ defense and effort, though they usually lost too early. But watching Cronin for a full season was not very fun. Not because of wins and losses but because he can just be sour and negative while leading teams that are very slow and physical on defense.

His final four offense was an exception, led by players he did not recruit.

Were those alfords recruits?

Holly S#!+ you know it's bad when an entire fan page is posting in rhymes about who we want as our next coach.  The fact that I am reading them and laughing may be even just as bad.  LOL

In a world where chatter fills the air,

Where bickering blooms like weeds everywhere,

I’d rather have rhymes that dance and delight,

Than squabbles and squawks that keep me up at night.

Oh, let’s toss aside our fuss and our fight,

For endless pages of verses feel just right!

With every word woven in joyful refrain,

We’ll trade out the grumbling for laughter’s sweet gain.

Sorry to go back but I'll never forget the time my buddy texted me after church and said you will never guess what Crean did today. I said what? He said the whole time the preacher was doing the sermon that Crean stood up and walked in a big circle around everyone listening. Like his ADD or OCD was going and he had to stand up and move. Anyway Drew I'm sure is much different

Not true. Don’t know where your friend got this narrative from. Crean went to Sherwood Oaks, along with Jordy and Zeller occasionally. He sat towards the back to get in and out quickly / avoid conversation (totally get that). My family and I sat back there too because we were always late, but also, almost always there at the 11 service that he attended. Not one time did Crean do that.

Soooo, we will have an answer in two weeks is what I am hearing here.

.....Who knows! lol I was just reflecting on what a few sourced posters were mentioning about maybe the first part of March. I have zero clue.

Well then stop rehashing **** that everyone on here is already aware of. I believe one of the mods has already made comments towards this very thing. We get it, you have daughters, and don't like Beard. I have daughters and I like Beard as a coach. Who cares? If you don't have something valid to add to his coaching prowess or how he'd be a good fit/bad fit, coaching wise, then I can only assume you're not done saying your peace and that we should create a separate thread for DV discussion so you can unload over there. Good day sir

So he can't respond, but people can still bring him up and mention the incident? There are 2 sides.

BTW,  I, too, am tired of seeing it rehashed, but there are 2 sides and only one side shouldn't be the only side heard.

Well, I know he attended St. Charles too. I don't think this was made up. I know some Sundays he went to a few services. But it doesn't matter these days. Thank you for the clarification.

Only 700 more pages to go!

in the realm of words where my thoughts take flight,

I find myself bound by a task of great might.

"Seven hundred pages!" my editor cries,

As I sit here in horror, wide-eyed in surprise.

With coffee as fuel and a laptop aglow,

I ponder the chapters that still need to flow.

My fingers feel heavy, my brain’s on retreat—

Yet here comes the humor, so let's take a seat!

Oh, seven hundred pages—a daunting demand!

Like climbing Everest with no help at hand.

Each word feels like boulders rolled down from the peak;

To write just one sentence takes me all week!

“Just write about dragons!” my friend shouts with glee,

But alas, I’m more lost than a cat in a tree.

And what if they’re purple? Or wear silly hats?

How do you get stories from whimsical cats?

I tried writing love scenes—oh what a blunder!

The characters swooned and then pulled me asunder.

They danced through the fields, but then tripped on their feet—

Now they’re tangled in weeds and can't find their way neat!

Then came an idea; “Let’s make it absurd!”

A tale of two penguins who fancied each word.

They waddled through libraries searching for rhymes—

But found only igloos and ice cream at times!

Each page I compose is like running a race;

A marathon scribble that quickens my pace.

I'm racing against time while avoiding despair—

“Seven hundred pages” can’t fit in thin air!
