There is no Krabby patty secret formula given only to former IU players that the next coach must have to succeed here. IU won in the past because IU had the best coach in college basketball. That is the formula IU should try to get as close to as possible. I don't think there is an IU guy out there who can do that.

No he's not. Petty and Jones were from the last coach. All the other key players are transfers or recruits from last year for the most part. Oats is going to be a star. I would just love it to be with us.

My only point, is that I definitely could see why Dolson might decide that Woodson is the best option out of all them. 

I was also including Musselman's NCAA coaching as well as NBA.

Musselman was 20-12 last year at Arkansas which was Archie's record last year.  So we are talking about Musselman over one great year at a power 5 conference.

Since you keep saying this I decided to actually do research. There are 3 carry overs from when he was not coach and one of them is averaging less than 1 point a game. So yeah he is winning with other coaches players......

20-12 in his FIRST year at a school not his third year.... He is also in the sweet 16 in his second year not sitting at home like we was. Great comparisons keep them coming.

Oats is where the game of basketball is heading. I know lots of old schoolers want the Bobby Knight motion offense again but that's just not what basketball is anymore. Oats is one of the most innovative coaches in college basketball. I want him badly.

If those guys do go -- and TJD departs -- the new coach will be looking at an empty cupboard. Not quite like what Crean got when he arrived, but sheesh ... 

He could inherit a roster of six scholarship players: Leal, Lander, Galloway, Geronimo, Jerome and Rob. Throw in Brunk if he stays and Duncomb if he comes and you get eight. Some decent players, but that's not a B1G roster. 

So just spitballing, what if a guy like Woodson could get TJD to stay.  He would definitely have the clout to say "kid, you're not quite ready for the NBA, but give me a year and I'll make you a first rounder."

Well first, Scott needs to tell me his list. Tell me whose he honestly considering and who is willing to come.

At that point, I'll decide what's best for Indiana Basketball.

He has been pretty successful the last 6 years in the NCAA. I am not saying he is exactly what I want, but I would take him every day of the week and twice on Sunday over Woodson.

He uses analytics which has ruined the game of basketball.  When you take half the court away to defend it makes it easier to guard you.  It is all 3's and layups and nothing else.  if you aren't hitting your 3's then you are in bad shape.
