Has the Turge ever explained his abrupt resignation a month into the season with Maryland? I haven’t found any articles that explain it other than they both decided it was best to part ways. It’s not like he was on a losing streak. Curious as to the details.

My understanding was that Maryland alum and Booster, Kevin Plank, did not like Turgeon and thought Maryland could do better.  Plank is the founder of Under Armor.

He most just want to emphasize Indiana isn’t a great job and the fans are running off good coaches.   He added nothing of value.  He likes McCollum, talked Brownell’s resume.  Think Cronin would do well. Only about 20 minutes. He plugged his catchphrases and annoyed me a bit.

And argued with Eric that Xavier Johnson being healthy last year would have made a big impact. I agree he knows nothing and when called on it he used the phrase "from a 30,000 ft view". Yeah well us here at ground zero probably have more insight then huh, dumb @$$

He wasn’t doing that great either.  Hot start and he started to bottom out.
