Sure.  It's fun to read and hope, but they need to stop making comments like, "Dolson has his guy," or "Done deal," or "It's always been Brad."

Yes, there has been mention of "Dolson has his guy" and "It's always been Brad". but none of them have ever said "done deal", at least, this go around.

How is what they say anything different than those that say ‘it’s not Brad’

people share what they hear. It’s up to the reader to digest that information safely and intelligently

Exactly! Is this message board secretly filled with a bunch of 12 year olds or something. Geeeez.

Feel like after the Beard test the other day, IU started sending planes and sending out the names of McCollum and Brownell to get people back on the beard train.  Nothing chances someone's stance on DV like losing.

The guy had to live in Mississippi for a year, hasn’t he done enough penitence

This may have already been posted but eludes to info coming soon: https://x.com/Bball_War3/status/1899437890360238169

I don’t know/follow this account, and I’m sure it’s about as credible as a message board, but I DO hope we hear something soon (the most subjective word in a coaching search)

His 08-09 Pitt team with DeJuan Blair was so much fun to watch. I really thought they were gonna win a National Title. Shocked when they were upset by Nova in the E8

I saw DeJuan Blair at a tournament in High School. He played I think Jerryd Bayless who went to Arizona and dropped 40 points 30 rebounds. It was the single most dominant performance I’ve ever seen. They announced on the PA that he had set a tournament record for boards. Blair eventually made it to the Spurs without any ACLs in either of his knees. Beast. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

is it true a Drake fan hopped on the spaces last night  and talked about how McCollum reads fans social media post about his coaching in games and says things in press conferences about it ?

I'm pretty sure I've said it on here before, but Schertz did that at ISU.

IU should consider the amount of DVs in Indiana if Brownell or McCollum are hired vs Beard.

I sure am glad that this search doesn't have an actual direct impact on my life (which is why I will always hold out hope for the best that's out there.....Stevens). The stress I can feel in some of the posters on here is palpable. IU is getting a new basketball coach in the next couple weeks. We will find out where the IU job stands with regard to the seriousness of the money spent and the expectations held on the next coach. Honestly, no matter who is hired, I just want IU to be taken seriously again when it comes to the national conversation about how the team is ran and performing.

As far as I can tell McCollum hasn’t been active on Twitter since 2023. Tyme was pushing that McCollum is too combative with fans and media to coach here… lol. I think that’s farcical

Right? Did he realize that RMK once coached here?

Tyme showed his younger age with that comment...

This has all just been a smokescreen for Steve Alford.  Buckner got his Hoosier legend and now Scott will get his.

Yes. If it’s McCollum then we truly did miss out on our top targets. I just don’t think we will…that’s why we need to relax and try and enjoy the process. Dolson has everyone guessing

How does anyone know who Scott Dolson's top targets are beyond Stevens?  I'm sorry, but I just don't think Dusty May was a clear #2.  He had 6 seasons at Florida Atlantic, only one anything special and his first 4 were.....not very good at all.   This season his team completely pee'd down their proverbial legs late and lost a championship which was theirs to lose.   Yet somehow he's a better candidate than McCollium who has by far the best resume of any coach in college basketball save Danny Hurley or maybe Tom Izzo?    I don't buy that for a second.

I don't think guys like Buzz Williams or Mick Cronin fit Indiana at all, but I'm not about to believe we settled regardless of who we get unless it DOES happen to be a retread like that who's never won anything.  Hell....I'd take Dane Fife with a great staff over Cronin or Williams.
