woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 You missed my main points, it absolutely was hand wringing, and I never once brought up any “hypothetical” replacements. I merely pointed out brunks’ not hypothetical stats, and why no one should care too much he left. I also never stated I believe he was bumped. I believe CMW was straight forward and told him he could stay, but there probably wouldn’t be minutes. Hypothetically speaking, you would really take Joey Brunk over a chance at Keion Brooks looking to restore his NBA stature? You can lie and say yes, but no one is going to believe you in that hypothetical. Brunk wouldn't even be part of that hypothetical because his scholarship didn't count toward the available scholarships. I think you need to go way back and see where this conversation started. You can lie and say yes, but no one is going to believe you in that hypothetical. As others have mentioned, you are not trading Joey Brunk for anyone. He was a free scholarship that you either used or lost. And me personally, if it was a trade between Brunk and Brooks, I would keep Brunk. I don't think that Brooks makes us demonstrably better but I do think the antics that have followed him could be a distraction. Additionally, it is not Brunk that people were talking about replacing with Brooks. It has been Hunter, Phinisee, or guys like Galloway and Leal. And those are the types you would have to have leave to make room for a guy like Brooks if he ever entered the portal. I would not make that trade, that's just me. woodenshoemanHoosierfan, T White, Hippopotamo and 5 others 8 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 Another big commitment for Chris Beard and Texas — Vanderbilt forward Dylan Disu is headed to Austin. 6-foot-9 sophomore averaged 15.0 points and 9.2 rebounds. IUc2016, HoosierDYT and hoosierpap 3 Quote

RaceToTheTop Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Moussa Cisse (Memphis) enters the portal. Pretty decent project type of player out of Guinea. As a freshman at Memphis, averaged 18.6 mpg with 6.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks. Evariste Galois 1 Quote

If everything works out there, UT could really be set to rise to the top echelon of college basketball, especially if some current elite programs fumble coaching changes. RaceToTheTop Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 J.J. Caldwell (New Mexico) to the portal. Has one of the strangest stat lines in the game.....true pass first point guard, played 31 minutes per game last year and only averaged 5.8 points but added 5.7 assists. 8bucks 1 Quote

A 6’1” pg who had as many rebounds as shot attempts and more steals than to’s. I’d like to see this kid play. Honkyman, Hutch89 and IUsafety 2 1 Quote

So basically he's good at everything except the things you would expect a 6'1" player to be. cybergates 1 Quote

Glanced at his game log yesterday and iirc he’s only scored in double figures once in college, which is remarkable for someone who has played as many minutes as he has RaceToTheTop 1 Quote
