And he shot ft’se poorly and couldn’t pass out of the post. He didn’t make many baskets more than 5 feet from the basket.

His numbers were a function of how poor the rest of the team was

I would not call that “raw” though. He did get so much better. Raw might Vic on offense or OG perhaps.

No clue what you are insinuating, but you be you

Yeah, I was making the comparison to our 3 previous center.  Obviously I like Flory a lot but he’s not on the level our previous 3 guys were. We’ve had some great 5’s.  Flory maybe, could end up being the 4th in time. But it would be a relative step down.

He offers more from a defensive standpoint than our last 2.

If we are wing oriented, then I’m fine with that.

I don't think he needs to, or could, match TJD, Ware, or Ballo in DDV's offense. Totally different usage than what we've been running.

Remember how raw TJD was his first few years? IMO, it’s a disservice to compare freshman Flory to upperclassman TJD.

TJD was third team All American as a sophomore. I'll take some more "raw" dudes like that!

IU needs to stay away in my opinion

I remember reading he's problematic above the shoulders. After that I quit following him. I'd completely forgotten he was at BYU until this weekend. While it would be hilarious in regards to Purdue, they aren't worth having those kinds of problems on the team. In fact, yeah guy, maybe reconsider Purdue.

Kyan Evans, Colorado State.  Three point specialist.  Averaged 10.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists.  Shot 47/45/85.

Was really impressed by him in the tourney game I watched. Wonder if he's headed to Minny with Medved

Don’t think he’s been mentioned, but Magoon Gwath , 7’ , San Diego st freshman is in.  8.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game.  Great touch for a seven footer, 17 of 45 from three.

Buried pages back but I think he’s the most intriguing player in the portal. He got hurt/missed some games at the end of the year and SDSU was never the same. He seems to be linked to Michigan which would be unfortunate but he’s already a very good player who hasn’t even come close to hitting his ceiling.
