Guaranteeing? lol

Are you saying if there's not a guarantee on a message board that we are landing players that, to your satisfaction, are top players you are losing faith in the staff to put together a strong roster?

I’m saying you’re guessing like everyone else. No idea where you came up with that.

I'm discussing what makes sense. I have no "inside" information about what the staff or portal recruits are thinking.

For instance, when I see that Adam Howard or Jordan Hulls is suddenly following a player like Rayj Dennis or Devo Davis when they aren't in the portal yet, I find that notable and worthy of discussion.

When I see IU potentially signing Anthony Walker, to me that means they have a plan for wings for the other one or two spots.

So we .... won't add someone on the perimeter? Pretty clearly we are going to add someone on the perimeter.

The confusion over A Walker this whole time has been.....confusing, to say the least.

The staff has 3 that have been made public with more waiting in the wings. They will fill these last 2 spots with top talent. This is not a scramble. This has all been lined up but just now coming out and more will.

trust them

Trust really isn’t the issue. I’m just observing. But it isn’t interesting simultaneously observe the m kid of the board. After the Ledlum/Knecht thing the board was lamenting how IU was being passed by and couldn’t recruit. Prior to that Ledlum and knecht were the keys to getting back to prominence. Now we apparently have so many options there’s nothing to worry about.

My money is on Woody landing someone good. But I can at least see why some wouldn’t want to fill a spot with a spot playing post player when we have four guys who can fill that role now.  It’s at least conceivable we strike out on the tier-1 options and are filling spots by rolling the dice on Parker Stewart types.

You really weren’t “discussing” anything in that regard. Because I was discussing the possibility we don’t land a for-sure thing on the wing and you wrote that “clearly” wasn’t going to be a possibility:

Your point would be valid if we were in danger of filling all three remaining spots with depth players

 We're clearly not.

So please share how you know that to be the case.

Maybe I didn't post with clarity, but look at the words I chose: My "We're clearly not" was in regard to if we are currently in danger that we are looking to fill all three open spots with 'depth' players. Not whether we're clearly going to land a "for-sure thing" wing.

I hope we land a wing with very high odds of success. But even if we land an extremely coveted wing, I will never speculate that the player will be a "for sure thing." For instance, borderline 5* wing Tamar Bates was a great player to land, but he was never a for sure thing. Same goes for Mgbako, Dennis, or Dingle. All great gets; none a "for sure thing," none are depth pieces.

In summary? I think, based on the players we're pursuing beyond Walker, we are clearly looking for a 30-ish mpg player, not a depth piece.

Recruiting AW has nothing to do with our ability to land any level of wing. Fact

This guy has a motor. He was on my son's Jr High team. I talked to his mom back then to see if they would be interested in playing on our select team. Another kid, Cameron Barnes. 6'10", with guard skills. His mom was my daughter's basketball coach. He was about 5' when he was 10-12 yrs old. Playing guard. 2-3 yrs later, he was 6'7". Duncanville HS

Uh choosier, stop with the message board and go get this deal done.  No bumber stickers though. Not sure about bagels with crème cheese either but bags of cash are ok
