He was already granted an injunction for another year by an Ohio judge. I have no idea how because he played four years and the least amount of games he played was 18. Also played at 4 different schools and the summer league recently. I’d get over it obviously because this is college sports now, but this one is fairly “icky”

I agree with Wayne that this can’t be a thing and I have no idea who he is or if he knows anything or just knows some guys who do. But will say this, followed him during portal season and he got a fair number of calls right.

Not sure Yigi isn’t “it”, but he’s not a 28-30 mpg B10 player which is what he would be asked to do under the current circumstances. Based on his previous production, Hall would appear to be a massive talent upgrade at the 4. Having Sisley and Yigi as your front court depth pieces would be huge.

i would agree Sam is a better fit for this roster. From what I have seen of Hall not sure there would be enough balls to go around. Sam on the other hand can spell both Aiden and Samet and doesn't have to have the ball to be effective.

Technically yes but you won’t see many schools use the full 15 allowed now.   Revenue sharing is set for 13 so adding anymore then that would mess with that.   Who knows anymore but I would be surprised if IU ever used more then 13 scholarships in a year

1. Go get some reps with OKC in the summer league

2. Come play with us in Peru and see how you fit with the guys

3. We saved a spot for you lets make it happen

4. We can probably pay you a little more than any international options.

Getting Sam back really does make me hopeful for next year.  The ability to absorb an injury or foul trouble is crucial

Sam would be wonderful for this roster.  And because I’m greedy, let’s rescind Sokolov spot since he doesn’t even care to come state side ( and DeVries doesn’t know who he is) and give that spot to Keyshawn Hall.  lol.  Then we would for once, actually have too much depth.  
 

Either guy makes me happy.  I’d imagine a lot of Y5 guys end up playing this year.  I think August will be a big month to determine the legalities.

I might believe that if they didn’t leave a spot for Goode (whom we could have really used) open last year, him get denied and nobody do anything about it, and then the spot basically get wasted.  
 

I think maybe we might just get lucky here. I’d love to know where Alexis’s case stands, next hearing, if they’ll add him even if he’s in limbo, etc… The fact that none of that has been put out there makes me think everyone is in a similar mode to last year of “if it happens, it happens, and if it doesn’t…oh well.”

At this point I don't even know what the point is of having Sokolov unless they really view him as a long-term talent. He's not going to be of any help to us this season. Basically another Acimovic situation.

He’s a lottery ticket that gets practically no NIL and has no real downside. If he sucks he’s Acimovic and if by some lucky chance he develops he’s a Hoosier.

Frustrates me that we always have the foreign kids that are in no rush to get over here. The college game itself is a big adjustment, and moving to the other side of the world has to make it an even bigger challenge. Getting over here in August leaves almost no time to adjust to life in America, let alone develop chemistry with the team and earn the coaches' trust. 

If Alexis doesn't get his eligibility reinstated we are in desperate need of big man depth and I don't see any way we get it from this kid. Obviously this is all just discussion about this season. Kid could be good down the line, I have no clue. With the portal how it is now, anything past this season is barely worth worrying about for me.
