I think the timing depends on if they are trying to bury it. Isn't the NIT selection done Sunday as well? It's been 2 years since it's been done and I've drank since then.

I think accepting an NIT invitation would be wrong. This team doesn't want to play. They just want to get out of the lime light and forget this season.

To my knowledge I still don’t know if they have ever selected a team to play with a record under .500 but I do know they got rid of the rule

Yep and the auto qualifier for 1 seeds in smaller conferences that lost in their tournament is gone this also
