Brian Snow is reporting on Peegs that Archie is not under any pressure and that there has been no talk of removing him as coach this year. He also said that no one in the industry has heard of the IU just coming open. I will say I have heard the exact opposite. Not sure if he is just trying to protect Archie but it was laughable what he wrote.

I’m going back and forth with him on that. Doesn’t make sense that there would be “zero pressure” or that he would even know less than 24 hours after our last loss.

Makes sense. Crean at least had successful seasons, recruited well, resurrected our program, and won B1G championships. 

Archie has done nothing except disappoint. I'd like to think he'd resign but he just doesn't seem like that kinda person and I totally get it - he wants his moolah.

Used to be on Peegs and really enjoyed Rabby. But couldn't stand Brian Snow, that dude is a piece of work.

Archie isn’t very charismatic either. He doesn’t strike me as the schmoozing type. That combined with his god awful results and it’s no surprise he doesn’t have any backers.

I don't think he'll be fired until the tournament is over. All the coaches we'd go after are still coaching other than a few (Beilein, Matta, Fife, etc). At least the ones we're hoping for are still coaching There isn't much we can do until they're done. That guy in Boston will be coaching for a while. Can't imagine he'd talk to us before his season is over, if at all.

I don't. Maybe they sent feelers out to people around him but that's about it. 

Brad seems like the kind of guy that might take offense to someone contacting him about leaving his current job while he still has it. He's too ethical to give an answer. But his friends, people near him, they might give us a hint. If we want a guy like Brad, timing is going to be a HUGE part of making that happen.

If we're going to fire Archie I hope it's earlier even if the next coach isn't announced for a while. Let Archie and the rest of the coaches try and find new jobs. We'd be doing a disservice to them by keeping them longer.
