Oh they'd definitely wait (if they don't pull the trigger now). That doesn't mean they wouldn't have a plan, or identified candidates.

Fans will be back in the stands and next season will fall off a cliff by mid-Jan, especially if there’s no TJD. It could get really bad for all parties if this is allowed to linger for over two months to end next season.

Are we paying a coach next season or just looking for volunteers?

I said give me a 5 year 20M dollar deal, and I'd donat'e 10.5 to pay Archie's buyout lol.

In all seriousness, unless boosters really love Archie, which I really doubt, I'm sure they will be willing to foot most, if not all, of the buyout (assuming we are going after someone they want).

Agreed. I've still watched most games, but I've watched less, and paid less attention when watching, than I ever have (and I'm getting old lol). Not saying I'm a super fan, or representative of the larger base, but I have to believe folks stopped tuning in as much, and would expect the admin to understand that. And we can't ignore the impact to recruiting either.

Just trying to follow along from what I've read on here and other sites from those who we can trust:

1) It sounds like money is not an issue for Archie's buyout. They have enough raised.

2) Dolson has put out flyers for the job/agents of coaches have approached Indiana showing interest.

3) There was a B.O.T meeting today with people in the athletic department.

4) Archie’s job status has been blasted across the country for over a week and our AD has said nothing.
Yes imo writing on the wall. No way they are just pretending it isn't out there. He will be fired and deservedly so. He made 3 million plus a year to make us look stupid. I believe every American should make the most they can but if I am him I say forget the buyout I owe you guys cause I failed pretty bad on court. Call it even cause I didn't emberrass you off it. Lol

Yes. You'd think he would say something IF he was coming back. I can see a change coming as early as Friday morning.

This is where I am as well, I would guess Black Monday so as not to distract from the B1G Tourney & Selection Coverage - but I don't expect the decision to linger, that doesn't strike me as Dolson's MO.

I'm a Cowboys fan. It was so Jerry Jones to wait a week after the season to announce Jason Garrett was gone. If you know-just say it and move on.

So you’re saying he won’t get fired at tip-off of the first NCAA game like Crean was?

Jim Irsay waited until mid-January to get rid of Jim Caldwell and Ryan Grigson. Of course, he fired Chuck Pagano about an hour and a half after the last game ended.

I thought the B O T was Friday? Was there one today too?

Aaron Henry has said IU wasn't even in his final four.

IU wasn’t in his final 5

henry dropped IU after Hunter committed. IU tried to convince him that he still had a spot but Henry and his camp felt Hunter and him occupied the same space

If Hunter doesn’t commit on the Monday after Henry got an offer I would of guessed he would of went to IU

100%. I also believe Damezi played a role in this as well.

Easy to find out those are public record I believe

Friday was an executive session so they don’t have to release what it’s about. But job reviews are discussed in executive sessions
