Galloway played the 5th highest minutes (25) today; didn't score but had 5 of our 19 assists.   We had 19 assists on our 25 made FG.  Franklin with a great shooting game but he did have 5 of our 15 TOs.

True but good teams will build that 10-12 point lead in the first half then just play us even the second half.  The lazy halves have to stop 

We have had 3 bad halves with the first half of Butler and the full Texas game. Let's give some credit on the good halves that will keep happening and win us a lot of games.

Okay... I’ll explain:

These are not computer programmable players.

On ALL teams, from Gonzaga down to Chicago State there are halves when a team has a lack of focus and underperforms.

The good teams respond and don’t let a bad half turn into a five game losing streak.

So, complaining about a bad half during a comfortable win against a P5 team seems like a stretch to find something to complain about.

The first half was concerning and reminiscent of past teams but that 2nd half performance was fantastic. Good to see the team respond like that and lock down defensively.

Winning by 8 points over a mediocre Butler team playing without their best player is no great accomplishment. We were out-rebounded, only shot 55% from the free-throw line, and turned the ball over 15 times. If Franklin hadn't been hot from 3-point range in the first half, IU probably would have lost. Lots of work to do if IU is going to finish above 8th place in the conference.

This team needs Franklin more than I ever thought would be possible. Al and Rob just don’t have what it takes to bring consistent effort and skill. Today was a tough game and I love the way they came out in the second half. If this team is going to be successful the guard play has to improve dramatically outside of Franklin. I’d like to see less Rob/Al and more Lander/Trey. Ask these guys to probe and dish and take open looks when provided. When Al/Rob try to run the floor, create or take jump shots nothing good comes of it.

Sorry, I wasn’t able to watch the game so had to go by the box score. We had to finish up Christmas shopping at cane at the expense of the IU game...... :(
