I had ACL surgery on my right knee back in late October.  Does look like he has "circulation" pumps on his legs (I had them on both calves even though only one leg was operated on since you are pretty immobile for two weeks).

However, what's interesting is that his left leg seems to have a pain pump.  I only had a pain pump on the leg which had surgery, so does seem like something rather intrusive happened in both legs.

I think somewhere someone said the best option was to use part of the patella tendon out of the other knee. Which might have happened but looking at the recovery time of that is a year to be 100% and 70% after 6 months

Only concern with this recruitment for me has always been with such a highly ranked kid why some big name programs never pulled the trigger or even made an appearance in his recruitment.

Basically the team that everyone is showing as the leader now Georgia didn’t even off him until June 3rd, 2020.   Normally as you know with 5 star recruitments staffs and program have to invest of bunch of time and energy.

Most schools that offered moved on to other recruits ranked lower and really didn’t push.
Archie targeted him early and offered back in July of 2019 and unlike Maryland and Louisville remained active in his recruitment.   For me he  will either choose IU which will be great or he won’t choose IU    I just hope he ends  up playing  college instead going the pro route   I’m not entirely convinced he plays college

I’m sure I could look past it if he winds up in candy stripes and plays to his abilities, but I can’t help but feel the same concern in many respects.  The AM recruitment sort of flies in the face of some of the common recruiting tropes we’ve come to know.  Win games, tournament success, get in early, build strong relationships, sell the offense, etc.  However our primary competition is from two teams that won only five games in their respective leagues last year and both have tournament droughts that pre-date ours, and a third team that just got soundly beaten by a D-II school.  And, as you mentioned the presumed front-runner was not even involved until six months ago, long after IU offered.

It’s puzzling that at the very least Kansas wasn’t involved, given that Aminu is playing HS ball in the St. Louis area.  Ultimately I figured it would be a rock fight with Louisville and possibly Maryland, but as you also mentioned they don't seem to be factors anymore either.

In our long standing need for shooting, Parker gets the nod.  Also, adding a guy with impressive academic accomplishment and experience at the D1 level bolsters the case.  The issue I have is that the '21 recruiting class has been, in a nushell, a failure - adding AM to the list of misses just makes it worse.  Parker Stewart could be a significant boost when he's up to speed, only time will tell.

One way I like to look at this, along with the CAM tenure as a whole, is in retrospect.  If someone said a year ago that we'd end up with Duncomb as our main freshman, along with a transfer originally ranked in the mid-200's coming out of H.S., I suspect most would be rather unhappy.  Getting Lander in a year early does ease the disappointment to an extent, but that occurred while most of our other targets were uncommitted and subsequently Archie has practically whiffed on closing the deal(s).

Ultimately, it's wins and losses that matter.  Perhaps CAM will "do more with less", maybe not.  Bottom line for me is, and has been, it's time to put up or shut up, no more excuses.

We have a commitment from Parker and landing Aminu is unlikely. So the question is academic at this point. Let's hope that Parker doesn't lose his shooting touch after he arrives in Bloomington as seems to happen to so many IU recruits.

Having the NCAA’s cancelled last year hurt IU IMO. We were making the dance which had the games been played would have helped with some negative perception and recruiting. So Archie needs a strong year this year and make the NCAA’s. To help immediately the answer is Parker.

Aminu may be a great athlete and have tremendous upside. But if he is looking to make the league ASAP, that won’t play well with this group of players as it’s all about the team right now.
