And who exactly is supposed to prepare the players?  Teach them?  Fox mental errors?  I’m confused.

The players are prepared, did you not see our defense or our offensive sets tonight? They have a system and it works. Archie can’t control if Rob misses a wide open corner 3.

I don’t know what they do in practice, I’m not there, but they are certainly prepared. They have been taught. Again, the players have to finish the plays. I’m positive we have a sports psychologist on staff so the mental things may be getting worked on.

Get in the gym and put the work in.

TJD went for 25 and 17 against a big team.  That's good news.

Rob needs to hit that FT towards the end of regulation.
We have a small window to win and got away from our game plan for stretches.

Turnovers killed us too.

Big killer was the missed FT but also when Florida at hustled for the ball and tied it up.  IU maintained possession on that play but it flipped the arrow and of course it came up to bite them because there was a held ball late the Florida st kept possession.

Good game one observation is Archie needs to find some bigs cause TJD is a top 10 pick....... if he keeps it up

Zero percent chance Trayce is a lottery pick. Literally zero.

If 4 years of players have mental problems shooting the ball then they aren’t being prepared.

Here is the reality: For Archie to be here long term he has to develop some shooters. However, assuming we bring this effort every night this year we will be right in games. TJD is developing and we should have a good year in end I think.

I worry in future years about Archie developing shooters and recruiting but his system of defense and toughness may finally be here at least to expect more consistent efforts every night which is progress.

These are the type of games that we need to be winning in Archie’s 4th year. No more excuses. He has failed to address the shooting situation in 4 years and now with a loaded B1G, I’ll just say good luck to him. Indiana basketball is no longer fun to watch and this just capped off a completely crummy day for IU athletics. So disappointed.

We would be title contenders if two of our guys were 38% shooters

Fair enough. I underestimated how frustrated I would be by watching us do everything we need to win. Except for the easiest aspect of game.

They are doing the hard stuff.

It was in good fun I promise.

Frustrating game, but man that team is hard to play against with only 1 or 2 real guys with any size. Shot making has to be better, but I feel like our offensive structure is where it needs to be. I just don’t know how we continue to not knock them down.

I will say this...it’s starting to bother me that this team is TJD and a bunch of “guys” surrounding him. Need someone to consistently step up in a big way.

We just don’t have the talent at guard. It’s plain and simple. We don’t have a single guy on this team who can knock down shots. Hopefully covid shuts this season down ASAP

I’m hearing shooters? Right? Shooters needed? Didn’t we have one sitting on the bench most of the 2nd half? Telling me Jerome wasn’t a better option than Galloway this evening?

Every guard we have is a top 150 recruit other than Al. We have talent problem is most haven’t gotten better since they came here

I couldn’t be less interested in high school rankings. Talent shows up on the court and these guys don’t have it. Lander is a 5 star putting up Tim Priller numbers with 10x the minutes (no disrespect to Tim Priller)

Talented is reflected by ranking.  Performance is a reflection of coaching
