RaceToTheTop Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 Luka Garza played 39 minutes and 40 seconds. Only sat for the last possession of the first half. 8bucks 1 Quote
theriverpilot Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 I can't tell if reporter meant "where is your mind when shots aren't falling".... Or if he was truly just being a total dick lolWondered the same. Obviously if Devonte knew the answer he’d fix it!Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
Popular Post Uspshoosier Posted February 14, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 14, 2020 I’m guessing Doyle was the one that asked the question This is the 4th time I’ve seen Garza score over 30 and Iowa lost. With Iowa take away the threes and let Garza get his. smiths defense on Weiscamp was huge Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mamasa, thebigweave, HinnyHoosier and 5 others 8 Quote

bleedhoosier Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 Yes feel like Archie heard that question to Devonte and decided to dig in on it. Has talked a lot about Devonte and ensuring his mind is right and how down he gets on himself (gets in his own head). theriverpilot 1 Quote

CookHallGymRat Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 As much as I don’t like Fran, I respect that he doesn’t pull an Izzo and complain about how well the other team played. WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 Enjoyed this game and enjoyed this effort. I wish for our sake and Greens sake he could be like this on a more regular basis. Garza is unreal. We recruited him a bit. Never thought he’d be this good. I predicted this win. Now we go lose on the road, and it all starts back up. They thought he was too slow and didn't fit their program. Quote

Uspshoosier Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 Heck of a recruiting story as well. Watched his special on the Journey and he was from the DC area and coached in high school by Lefty Driesell’s son. Lefty was Maryland coach for 19 years. His son asked Lefty to come watch Garza play as a junior. Lefty contacted Turgeon and coach K and told them they needed to sign him. He was told he wasn’t what they were looking for and too slow. Fran got in early because he saw him play at a Nike top 100 event where other coaches couldn’t attend. Fran could because his son was playing at the event. He offered after that. Heck of a story about a kid that put in the work and continues to put in work. Kid had surgery during the season last year to remove a sist the size of a basketball and came back and played that year Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appQuote this again for people talking about Garza’s recruitment Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app 8bucks and pappy1865 2 Quote
Brass Cannon Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 Great to get the win but we all knew we could win when Green goes off. But we can’t count on that. We have to learn to win other ways consistently. Really would like to get at least 2 of the next 5. Cookie 1 Quote

Popular Post JerryYeagley23 Posted February 14, 2020 Author Popular Post Posted February 14, 2020 Been a low couple weeks, but consider this: Saturday there’s a real possibility 1) ILL lose at Rutgers, and 2) Mich St. gets beat by Maryland. Which would mean: Entering our game at Michigan on Sunday, IU would be 1-game back in the loss column from a tie for 3rd place in the B1G. pappy1865, JaybobHoosier, Brass Cannon and 5 others 8 Quote
