WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Archie is setting some all time worst records at Indiana quickly. It’s rather remarkable. I want to like the guy, but at some point the proof is in the pudding. It’s so bad with Archie I’m quickly losing faith Indiana will ever regain a blue blood type program. I used to have that hope. I expected it to happen under the right leadership. Now it’s just a prayer. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners coachv jr, thebigweave, BGVille Hoosierfan and 2 others 5 Quote

It is very interesting to listen to his perspective imo. I don't know how to share or if it is even allowed but give it a listen if you care toSent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk Quote

I get this takes time... but come on..What’s the selling point to a high school kid when you tell them our main offensive strategy is to get fouled and make a bunch of free throws? Our system makes it hard for them to showcase the skills NBA teams are looking for Quote

Bgaines99 Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 The future is bright. Help is on the way. Archie's going to do great things. He brings out the best in his players. [FACE PALM] I drank the kool aid when he was hired but I just don't see anything changing for the better with him at the helm. We've seen almost 3 full seasons and at least with Crean we won a couple conference titles and underachieved in the tournament. Pretty sad that I'd like to go back to those days. Hoosierfan2017 Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 When Archie was hired I thought that he would be able to get us to Crean's highs without the lows. I thought that at the least, he would have us in the tournament every year. Now, though, I'm not even sure he's capable of getting us to Crean's highs with the lows. WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 What is he good at? I don’t know. He’s an average to above average recruiter. I don’t know what kind of identity he wants his teams to have. I assume he wants tough, hard working, grinders. But that’s not who we are. So I don’t know. He doesn’t seem to care about addressing shooting. Honestly, his identity to me, is recruiting the best guys he can get from Indiana. That’s his identity. It’s not working. And I think his refusal to bench players who aren’t doing what he asks is a lot of the reason why. We knew we were thin at guard. We should have used both scholarships on some grad transfer guards just for depth so when Devonte is out there acting like himself. You sit him and forget him till the next game. Archie has no credibility with this group because he doesn’t hold the captains accountable. jonz44, theriverpilot and MikeRoberts 3 Quote

There are injuries, transfers and just players that need benching and leaving two open scholarships limits us greatly.Crazy to me we couldn’t have found a transfer that could shoot itSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app coachv jr and Josh 2 Quote
