Fulkme15 Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 It was a great night to be at the game, the crowd was great. Team looked great minus a few stretches, but we will have that from time to time. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Alford Bailey, mamasa, HoosierAloha and 4 others 7 Quote

I’m still surprised however to see so many empty seats in the balcony when the TV camera panned the crowd. What’s up with that?Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
Whoozhers Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 Btw.... I don’t want to pick fly crap outta pepper and throughly enjoyed the win....BUT.....missing 15 free throws and having 18 turnovers is NO BUENO.Tighten it up HOOSIERS! Popular Post JaybobHoosier Posted December 4, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 4, 2019 Had to watch the game on DVR because of a work holiday party, but thrilled how this team played overall. We had a nice three-headed monster in Devonte, Trace, and Justin. I was also very pleased with how Franklin and Anderson played overall as well. Wish we could have gotten a little more out of our bigs outside of Trace, but there will be games like that. Is anyone hesitant to be fully happy because of last year with the Marquette and Louisville games then tanking? Really hope this team has turned the corner, and it seems like it has because this team looks completely bought in and bonding as a team. The difference this year is that we have Smith, TJD, and Durham who can all step up and share some of the scoring burden when needed. We also have a stable of talented players behind them who fill much needed roles every game and are capable of stepping up when needed. We'll have bad games at some point this year but here's to hoping that we get the "Unlimited Ammo" Green when we need him most. Bobman1, HoosierDYT, HoosierHoops1 and 4 others 7 Quote
HoosierRobbie Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 Great win, really needed it, a win Saturday and I’d say we will crack the top 25. On another note, I am officially worried that trayce may leave after 1 year, dudes legit. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

No, but not because it couldn't happen. We have a very very different team. Last year's collapse has no relevance to this year. Can teams develop chemistry issues and collapse? Sure, and when ya least expect it. But, it doesn't happen often when a team is as balanced and seemingly well-constructed as this one is, and unless and until something goes wrong, there's no need to fret... just enjoy the ride! mdn82 Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 And I was called stupid basically for saying Smith was a wing... lol. He’s looked great so far. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBannersJoe he can’t shoot outside. What’s funny is that midrange you shat on is where he is most comfortable. Or at the rim. Which is polar opposite to what you said.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app thebigweave 1 Quote

IUc2016 Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 I was glad to see Damezi play well and look like he was having fun out there. His defense is night and day from last year, I hope he can keep it up because it will keep him on the floor. This game shows why we need Rob back. Al cannot handle the rock against pressure, and he is forced to play out of position because of Rob's injury. Hope he comes back this weekend or next week. HoosierAloha and Ranger78 2 Quote

Like DeRozan, Wade, Tony Allen or Andre Roberson? All who are wings and can’t shoot the 3. Allen and Roberson are particularly god awful. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

He’s never going to be the primary ball handler but having a third, or fourth, option to bring the ball up against pressure is nice. If plays with consistent effort and focus while continuing to expand his game he’ll have a monster senior year. Happy to see Smith and Green have good starts to the year. That goes a long way for this team and being able to show future recruits what they could become. I’m totally happy with a team led by upperclassmen, a stud frosh or two, and younger role players. That’s an excellent recipe to getting old and experienced and staying old and experienced. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app thebigweave, mdn82, Hardwood83 and 1 other 4 Quote
