Then it'll be two or three more years of hoping for outcomes like the last two nights while we're several weeks into our offseason (I don't really believe that; it's the last 20 years of mostly dismal, boring failure talking...but you never know). aww now time for a new crystal ball! Hoosier Guy Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 So Elite Eight play begins tonight. Loyola-Chicago vs Kansas State and Florida State vs Michigan. I’m going with Loyola-Chicago and Michigan Quote

While we can understand their pain, it's not like losing a key player is unique to PU. As you said, we lost May and Henderson (who were each much better players than anyone on this year's PU team) and had our title aspirations killed. Another point is that it's not like PU was steamrolling everyone coming into the tournament - they peaked in January and were vulnerable before Haas' injury. Quote

Their relationship rubbed off on him. Great coach and bright future. If I was U of L I would throw him a blank check over Mack. Just my opinion though. Mike White is still on my list of future stars in the coaching ranks as well. BTW how the neck hasn't the Loyola coach even been mentioned with any openings? Great run is usually the formula for a big new job. I don't know much about him though so who knows. Agree with all of this. I would think if/when Arizona gets around to doing Sean Miller, that would be the fit. Quote

HoosierAloha Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 It was known back in January when pu was streaking that they wouldn't get past the Sweet 16. They weren't athletic enough in 4 of 5 positions. If they had Haas they still probably lose just by a few less. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners thebigweave, Brass Cannon, Hoosierfan2017 and 2 others 5 Quote

Brass Cannon Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 What's funny is this reveals deep down Purdue knows we are better. For painter 4 sweet sixteens 2 championships in 13 years and people are jumping over each other to defend him. Yet they never gave us any slack for Crean and his 3 sweet sixteen and 2 championships in 9 years. thebigweave, CR3AMnCR1MS0N, chicagoHOOSIER and 3 others 5 1 Quote
