Yes. Getting it inside. Doesn’t that seem like a foreign language after the past seasons? When they move the ball quickly, instead of all the dribbling we used to do, those post entries come soooo much more often.

The ball movement against the zone can be beautiful, at times. Hartman made a wonderful pass from the high post, Morgan has made several, Smith has as well. We sometimes revert back to our old lazy, slow passes around the perimeter though.

That’s a solid 7 that is a tournament team IF Morgan keeps up his current play, RoJo somehow regains his old perimeter shooting form, Green can develop some offensive consistency that can be trusted nightly, and Davis gets his free throw stroke back.
Gosh, if RoJo and Green could get consistent offensively, this can be a really good team.

It COULD be a tourney team but I don't see it clicking in time for that. Also, the Big Ten having a horrendous noncon isn't helping. I could see this team coming together in late February to reel off 3-4 straight Big Ten wins. IF we found ourselves on the bubble a win against ND or UL would go a long way. I think we'd have to get to 11 conference wins to be a tourney bid. I don't see that happening.

The goal right now for this team is to steal one of the next 2. Then somehow go 9-9 in conference. And win the rest of the non con games.

Even if we miss the tourney that's a very strong showing

Absolutely!!!  Him, Chris Jent, Lou Henson too

These days I would put Roy Williams "golly gee I had no idea what was going on" face in that category.

Never dreamed I would think less of him than Scumapri but I do.

I agree, especially don’t see RoJo all of a sudden becoming a consistent shooter halfway through his senior season.

Davis FT shooting????
Rojo three point shot?????

What has happened? Both were pretty good last year. Both WAY off.

I think it’s all mental with Davis. With Johnson it looks like he’s trying to aim his shot instead of just naturally shooting it. His shot just looks a little different this year. Him kicking his legs when he shoots or his release seems off

I think it look like he’s leaning on his jumper now

Yes absolutely. I feel like that is one of the less obvious “hangovers” or “bad habits” that pops up from time to time. I felt that under Crean, he would indeed preach rotation, but it was rotation without purpose. It was swinging the ball for swinging’s sake. Many times it was done via the dribble handoff. That led to one or two players dribbling the ball around only one side. Now, I’m beginning to notice an attack to the ball movement. Mostly quick, decisive passes, with a plan behind them. I’ve on a number of occasions, witnessed them inbound after a score, push the ball into the half court, and work for a shot without the ball having touched the floor. Made me want to cry. It’s going to take time, but it IS coming fellas.

But every time we get lazy do you notice how Miller was firing them up and directing?
