HoosierAloha Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 Yes. Getting it inside. Doesn’t that seem like a foreign language after the past seasons? When they move the ball quickly, instead of all the dribbling we used to do, those post entries come soooo much more often.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appThe ball movement against the zone can be beautiful, at times. Hartman made a wonderful pass from the high post, Morgan has made several, Smith has as well. We sometimes revert back to our old lazy, slow passes around the perimeter though. HoosierAloha Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 That’s a solid 7 that is a tournament team IF Morgan keeps up his current play, RoJo somehow regains his old perimeter shooting form, Green can develop some offensive consistency that can be trusted nightly, and Davis gets his free throw stroke back. Gosh, if RoJo and Green could get consistent offensively, this can be a really good team. It COULD be a tourney team but I don't see it clicking in time for that. Also, the Big Ten having a horrendous noncon isn't helping. I could see this team coming together in late February to reel off 3-4 straight Big Ten wins. IF we found ourselves on the bubble a win against ND or UL would go a long way. I think we'd have to get to 11 conference wins to be a tourney bid. I don't see that happening. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app The goal right now for this team is to steal one of the next 2. Then somehow go 9-9 in conference. And win the rest of the non con games. Even if we miss the tourney that's a very strong showing FloridaHoosierGirl, HoosierAloha and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 Solid game overall. Predictable win against a young Iowa team. We nearly coughed it up with lax play to start the 2nd. Morgan is playing excellent basketball. Can't argue with Archie's coaching. Doing everything I wanted our previous coach to do. Just wish we were better overall. yogisballin Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 It happened real quick. Morgan was talking to Freddie and Freddie just had a heated look on his face. Maybe he shouldve went to the gym after the Michigan L instead of you know where..Where would that be?Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Ajwhitis 1 Quote

Sent from my iPad using BtownBannersI think it’s all mental with Davis. With Johnson it looks like he’s trying to aim his shot instead of just naturally shooting it. His shot just looks a little different this year. Him kicking his legs when he shoots or his release seems off Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app schoosier 1 Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appYes absolutely. I feel like that is one of the less obvious “hangovers” or “bad habits” that pops up from time to time. I felt that under Crean, he would indeed preach rotation, but it was rotation without purpose. It was swinging the ball for swinging’s sake. Many times it was done via the dribble handoff. That led to one or two players dribbling the ball around only one side. Now, I’m beginning to notice an attack to the ball movement. Mostly quick, decisive passes, with a plan behind them. I’ve on a number of occasions, witnessed them inbound after a score, push the ball into the half court, and work for a shot without the ball having touched the floor. Made me want to cry. It’s going to take time, but it IS coming fellas.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app reconmkd, IUBBFan1970, ALASKA HOOSIER and 3 others 6 Quote
