And now this from Jeff Goodman: Former Louisville commit Brian Bowen told ESPN he has been admitted to South Carolina and will seek reinstatement from the NCAA. Story coming. yogisballin 1 Quote

I feel like he should just be permanently blacklisted from college basketball. ElectricBoogaloo, Class of '66 Old Fart, yogisballin and 1 other 4 Quote

HoosierAloha Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 The $EC was awful, then the $EC "recruited" a ton of talent, and now they're just throwing both middle fingers up at the NCAA. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners MikeRoberts 1 Quote

reconmkd Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 I thought the Cam Newton Rule had been thrown out? If so, it doesn't matter if Bowen knew of his father's actions or not. http://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/7452188/ncaa-broadens-agent-rules-include-parents-closes-cam-newton-loophole 9 hours ago, mdn82 said: Technically his dad did. Walking Boot of Doom Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 Honestly, let the kid play. The people who bribed him are the individuals in power who are paid to uphold the rules of their system. I understand that legally the active and passive party in a bribe are guilty, but until the NCAA undergoes team change to fix this systemic issue and prevent this from happening in the future, I don’t want to see individual student athletes punished.Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando BtownBanners Hutch89 1 Quote

That sometimes you are the scapegoat so a corrupt organization can keep being corrupt. No I would be all for punishing the kid if the NCAA was actually trying to clean itself up. But they aren't. Don't punish the kids for taking the money if you aren't going to punish the coaches doing it. Stromboli and Walking Boot of Doom 2 Quote

You think Wisconsin and Indiana players are taking big checks to play? Yet they see a kid take 100k with no punishment? What's the point of any of them doing it the right way going forward then. You may as well let them all be paid from here in out then. Make it legal.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk jonz44 1 Quote
