Look I get those in the profession defend themselves but Jay bilas has gone all in on Sean Miller. Says he's a great man of integrity and it's laughable he would if known anything. Seriously jay? Miller might have his tracks covered but come on jay.

Normally not a huge fan of Bilas, but in this case, I'm all for it. The better Sean looks, the better Archie will look. Although Sean's actions have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with Archie, there are plenty of people out there who will associate the two and assume that because Sean's program is suspect, Archie's is, too. Obviously none of us will, but don't doubt that other schools will use that in recruiting against IU.

Archie was on staff with Sean and Book for two years. A long time ago, but it has jus-a-little to do with Archie.

Given the supposed closeness of the family and the fact they have worked together, it's hard for me to believe that Archie didn't at the very least suspect something was going on. And, to me Sean's position is indefensible. Knowing or not knowing are both offences that should lead to termination. Head coaches have to be responsible for the actions of their assistants. It's one thing to discover wrongdoing in your program and take appropriate action and entirely another when someone else discovers it.

Yawn...pretty slow start today. Friday is typically "take out the trash" day in the media, so we'll see if things start blowing up later.

I'm wondering if the Louisville acting prez will make a move regarding a coach today. He said on Wednesday that since practice starts Friday (today), he wanted to have an interim coach in place within the next 48 hours. I haven't seen anything yet. I find it difficult to imagine it would be Crean, but stranger things have happened ...

I don't know the numbers but I would imagine the vast majority of student-athletes end up being [insert profession here] and not a professional athlete of [insert sport here] after they graduate.

Also, I have a feeling a very small percentage of student-athletes compared to the total amount of student-athletes competing in the NCAA are part of this investigation.  It looks as though this is geared towards elite athletes and based on their market value.  I could be wrong though.  But I'm skeptic that folks like Johnny Jager are getting some sort of compensation from Adidas.  Heck even folks like Newkirk or Johnson for that matter.  I don't have any proof but I don't think this is anything new.  It's probably been like this for decades.

A minor league won't fix this because capitalism exist at the college level.  Once we fully embrace that concept then and only then fixes can occur.

Louisville ESPN radio just announced that Padgett has been linked to recently raided sports agent Andy Miller. Miller supposedly represented Padgett as an advisor or something while or after his playing career at Louisville.

HA!  Another great hire the way it sounds!  Still don't get it.

Kinda think it's a mistake not just cleaning house. Should get somebody totally unrelated to the university.

Its probably easier to have an assistant not implicated this season and then clean house rather than hire a new staff then have them all leave after any new sanctions arrive beyond the stripper violations.
