22 targets on a 6 man class. Yes I know Thompson is now technically a part of 17 but damn. Honestly, if Crean were here and had that many schollies, we would have had at least 40 offers. Its amazing what zeroing in on your targets do for you.

The Days offer makes more sense when I go back and watch the Pack Line Defense video on the first page of that thread. Archie is trying to get as many 6'5"+ guys on the roster as possible so the defense can always switch screens. I assume he's planning to develop some into ball handlers. Looks like the only deviation from this approach is finding a true point guard.

I certainly think this is possible. Generally speaking, defenders are supposed to fight over/through screens in a pack line d. Obviously having interchangeably athletic players who communicate well may be the plan regardless of switching approaches.

Golden State has had a world-class defense in its current iteration while usually switching screens at the 2, 3, 4, sometimes the 1, and — in lineups with Draymond at the 5 — even switching everything. Other good NBA defenses recently have moved that way.

Pack line principles are theoretically compatible with switching. I'd actually love to see Archie merge a pack base with switching schemes that capitalize on length, speed, and athleticism to create turnovers and pressure; I think that's a good synthesis of pack line stinginess and aggression. I hope your hunch is correct.
