HooHooHoo22 Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 If we lose a kid from our backyard that we have been recruiting heavily then just shut down the program. If the staff can’t convince a kid 40 miles away whom they have had down to visit numerous times to commit, then the staff is incompetent. Good lord, come on man. Now this is what they’re talking about when they say “take a step back from the ledge” Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app 8bucks, thebigweave, HinnyHoosier and 3 others 6 Quote

mdn82 Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I think Henry going to MSU helps as well. If we are looking at MSU positives. But let’s be honest. He is a 45 minute drive to Assembly Hall. His parents will easily be able to visit him on more than just gameday. That’s huge. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners southsidehoosier, Iugradman and HoosierAloha 3 Quote

We have to highlight what we can in these battles. Obviously he is saying come play for a hall of fame coach. Pretty enticing for kids. We are close to home. Have world class facilities. Excellent academics. Coaching staff with various abilities and have worked out many College players training for the NBA combine or summer league. Non stop history. At this point we can’t point to a hall of fame coach. Hopefully in the future we can. That helps a lot in this area. A lot of good coaches.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app HoosierAloha and HoosierDYT 2 Quote

To that point he was Izzo’s first true NBA blue chip prospect. This is a small area. Zach’s family was not rich. He had uncles work with my dad at Dana in Marion. Let’s just say the Escalade with rims stood out at Marion. Edit: The same one he got arrested for twice while in high school. One for weapons and the other for weed and never once did it get questioned. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app ALASKA HOOSIER, WayneFleekHoosier, MikeRoberts and 2 others 5 Quote

He was a nice dude and had fun with the students from both sides. HNHS with Sean Kline played Marion with Randolph. HNHS students all had white boy gangster outfits with toy guns after his arrest. Marion fans brought huge blow up balls. That was cause there was a person that had just got arrested for castrating a lot people for various reasons in a motel over time. Izzo was personable, but Kline already committed to RMK. It was a pro IU crowd and Izzo got no mercy. The concession was by the only exit into the old gym he stood by the whole game. He heard it all game. Kline had himself a game and carried HNHS past Marion for the first time in years. Good times.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app MIUGA, WayneFleekHoosier, Class of '66 Old Fart and 3 others 6 Quote

Not to say it didn’t happen. Wouldn’t surprise me. I was a kid that was the same age as him. Lol I knew he drove an Escalade on rims and thought he was the hardest dude around when he came into town (parties). That’s why I loved his bullies got bullied line on ESPN this week.
