Tony Bennett has had 3 transfers now since their loss last week.

I have heard the theory that they are transferring because he is out and on his way to IU

What if they are transferring because they don't like him or his style of play?

While either theory could be true;

I buy your first theory far before your second.

The Mack rumor is coming from the other side too. What "big name" can we get besides Donovan? The Cupboard of elite coaches is pretty bare.

The Mack theory was posted over there I believe, so it's all stemming from that.

I think that Glass is going to really string this out. I am confident that he's been given a state of execution, if you will. If he screws up this hire, they'll personally hide-strap his butt to a pine rail, and send him up the Monon Line.

I'm hopeful BD will be telling himself as he walks onto the floor for Hoosier Hysteria "Welcome to Indiana Basketball"...

damnit, Glass get it done!

Please tell me how many recruits were knocking down the door to play at UK prior to coach Cal? We shouldn't hold ourself to a high standard because recruits aren't knocking down our door?

Laughable

IU will be mentioned with the likes of Duke, Kansas, UK,  once they land a big time head coach.

Huh DC might be a major city but that city is crappy really outside the tourist spots

Not to mention the insane COL. A coach's salary is going to go a lottttt further in Bloomington than DC. I've visited a couple times and I loved the tourist spots, but it's not a place I would want to live.

Ummm, guys... DC is a fantastic, world class place to live and raise a family, especially with lots of money. And bball head coaches make lots and lots and lots of money. Have you guys been to Bethesda, Arlington or Chevy Chase?

There's a reason that NBA cities like NYC and LA get free agents instead of Milwaukee and OKC, and cost of living is irrelevant.

IU is a better basketball job than Gtown, but it's not because of D.C.

Donovan obviously the dream pick, but I feel like getting Bennett and convincing Fife to come here as assistant would be the best possible outcome. Bennett's playstyle with Fife will make the old people happy. While all the wins they'll be getting will make everyone else happy. If he can get elite guys final fours and maybe championships will come. Bo Ryan has a similar playstyle, only had elite players for 1 year and he won big ten regular season, tournament, and went to national championship game.

My logic tells me our next coach is still working. So they made it as far as Crean and lots of good ones left. Keep narrowing it down and Donovan becomes increasingly a good possibility.

That's kind of been my thought.  If we get to the NBA playoffs without an announcement I'd say it's Donovan or bust.

Of course, if they wanted to announce Donovan as coach tomorrow I wouldn't complain.  Which with my luck that just means they'll announce Alford a day after UCLA is eliminated.
