Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Yep. His defense is excellent, but highly talented players don't want to play in his offense.Kyle Guy sure seems to like it. And their top 10 class last year. Also brought in former 5 star Austin Nichols as a transfer. Obviously he got the boot but kids are warming up to him. Winning changes everything.Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app IUsafety, Tom White, Maynard and 1 other 4 Quote
SteelerHoosier Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 I am just trying to figure out how people think Alford would be a different coach at IU than elsewhere. Doesn't make sense to me. lillurk, AKHoosier, thebigweave and 4 others 7 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Any coaches left in tourney we are actually looking to add? It's pretty much Alford. Or an NBA guy. That's what we are waiting on. The timing highly suggests Alford. If it was Bennett, we'd know something by now. Same for Marshall. Same for Archie. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Bowhunter and IUsafety 2 Quote
Adillac Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 I'll bet Glass and IU rescue what might appear to be a bungle...They'll get it done...just when they fear it is all lost, out of desperation, they will lob a fat golden nug and get their guy. This will all be a last minute thing.. Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Guys over at 247 are gonna start a gofund account for Billy D. If it really happens I will gladly donate a hundo. Get about 3-4 thousand fans to do it and it would make enough of a scene for Glass to notice.Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Tom White Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 I'm not sure ANYONE can defend 39 points in a tourney game..Previous game they scored 76, I think. Don't know what their average for the season was. Quote

Not campaigning for Alford, but he had 3 star level players at iowa and NM. I'd only judge him on UCLA last 4 years which is 3 sweet 16s, and one terrible year.Alford runs a low turnover offense, that is best in ncaab this year. Much different than the Crean run and chuck high turnover offense. He would recruit the state MUCH better than crean.Biggest knock on Alford is lack of defense imo.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Tom White, IUsafety, ALASKA HOOSIER and 1 other 4 Quote
