It's actually due to his loyalty to Crean. If Crean goes so does he is how I have read it everywhere.

I find it kind of strange that that's the case instead of the other way around. I get being loyal to a guy who stayed loyal to you, but it would be much better for his career if he could develop at IU without Crean.

Interesting comment from Sterling....telling Crean supporters to fill the stands for the NW game, otherwise "there will be a look-around for who wants the job, and that's a fact".

I enjoy KS and follow him on Twitter, but does anyone have any insight as to how "close" to the Program he is? Is he considered an "insider" with access to reliable intelligence?

I honestly don't care what players may transfer if Crean is fired, change must be made for the betterment of the program.

I'm with ya here man. Tom Crean has to go and it doesn't matter who would go with him. His players are part of the problem too

He did go from being the number 1 player in his class to where he ended up. Obviously many schools backed off. That would do a lot to a kid. Honestly he has been better this year around the hoop scoring than in high school. He was a scorer at the rim who blocked shots. He has developed post moves for sure. Going against TB I practice helps him.

Just hope whomever we land knows how important instate recruiting is. Several prospects for the next 3/4 yrs look to be very valuable comodities. I think instate parents are more knowledgeable about proper basketball to see how the CTC style lacks good concepts. This may be a major reason why we are now having difficulty recruiting at home.

Are people saying that he would transfer to follow Crean wherever he ends up, or that he would transfer to wherever to 'get back at us' for getting rid of Crean?

I question a person's ability to reason and rationalize when I see them question Billy Donovan's potential at Indiana. He would dominate. Especially now that he can pull the "I was an NBA coach" card. It matters.

Who is questioning Donovan's potential here?  That person would need their head examined.

Am I the only one who thinks Stevens and Donovan are not even a remote possibility? Don't see either one leaving the NBA for IU. They both have a pretty good thing going in the pros.

I don't think Stevens is a realistic possibility, at least not right now, but I think Donovan is more realistic. His team is meh right now and if Westbrook leaves then they'll be very bad. The situation he's in now isn't the one he thought he was leaving Florida for. It's still a long shot, but I think the chance is there.

Billy Donovan has won 2 national championships as a HC. The guy had consistent success at Florida and went toe to toe with Kentucky almost every year. Going toe to toe with Kentucky is not an easy thing to do. Donovan would bring consistent success and stability to IU. And I do think he is a very good possibility. Westbrook is gonna leave for the Lakers soon and that team will have nothing. Go back to college and restore IU to what they used to be. He'd be a God

Anybody going to listen to coaches radio show to see if he can get u back on his side or say something to give optimistic outlook on rest of season?

At this point I don't think there is anything he can that would get me back on his side.  Although if he said he resigns effective immediately it'd give me a more optimistic outlook for the future of the program, pending the administration not botching the hire at least.
