Tom cream is a nice guy! That gets so old. He runs a clean program but so did knight and was he a nice guy? Alot of people would say no. You are paid big bucks to win period. Alot of coaches are nice guys but if they don't win than who cares.

They are 7th in the conference though and really don't look poised to contend in the next 3 years.

Looks that way but he isn't very active on there. Still waiting on a text back as to what it was that he said. I followed Vijay though in case pops cant keep him from doing it again if he did indeed say something. I truly believe he and Crean got into though any parent would do that specially one with the respect that Sr carries and as a pretty good coach himself. After JBJ leaves he is back to UK blue and I am almost positive Jalen is gonna be going there so his opinion probably doesn't hold much merit with Fred Glass. Sr is very well connected with AAU though, not a good bridge to burn for Crean regardless if he is at IU or anywhere else.

Haven't checked actual stats but just saw a tweet that IU only has a winning record against Rutgers and Penn State during Crean era. Please say that isn't true.....please? Cause that makes me wonder why we are even talking about him being fired compared to not being fired.

I would say that's accurate. Can't think of another team that I think we have a winning record.

Sadly with the actual time that this was tweeted, it will be taken as a response to the post game. In that case, I fear that we might have just seen the last game with DG getting more than a min or so of playing time, if CTC sees this tweet. I know he was limited due to "injury" the past few games, but it really seemed that DG has been on Crean's "S**t" list for most of the season. Which is really sad, because the times that he has been in games, he seems to be the only guard that has a decent "court" vision and can successfully pass the ball to someone, especially the post,  other than the bench and/or refs. If this is really a response to the post game presser, I really think it is shedding light on what is going on behind the closed doors of IU Basketball. To me there must not be anything happening, besides running sprints, jacking up threes, and practicing the half court 3pt line death weave!

I really believe Crean's comments were out of line, there are plenty of other options when you aren't getting your message across to your team. It starts with pine time!!! But I'm not convinced that he truly understands what that means. Like several have already stated, if your starters are playing like you want, there's the bench, there are plenty of other players that are perfectly capable of 3 shot attempts in a first half! Our freshman guards have shown spurts of being good, but you can't expect them to play consistently with limited minutes and only playing in a game here and maybe a game next week. There is no flow for these kids to settle into to find their rhythm. At several points yesterday, I would have preferred that Green, Jones, and Gelon ran the show with Morgan/McSwain running the wing, and Davis in the post. Yes I said McSwain, at least he was attempting to hustle and motivate the team! Michigan had no answer for Davis, NONE, and he only plays 14 minutes.

I don't really know what Crean's challenge to the team was before the game, but it sure does look like he really pi**ed them off!

Like Ive said I cant wait for the book to come out on Crean. He is what we see on the court and in pressers. Could you imagine trying to learn from him? Time for the rest of the fan base to realize what most of us already know. 2 good years were a product of NBA players making individual plays when the system broke down time and time again.

maybe green knows he is safe because he will have a new chance with a new coach at IU next season and can show his stuff..
