Maynard Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 I really want Crean to be fired and really feel bad that he needs to be. It would have been great if he could have succeeded at IU. I don't think that there is any doubt that he wanted to be an IU lifer. It's like he always wanted to be a member of the club, but because of his approach he never fit in. Crean had no choice but to cut the kid but when Crean saw him last year in the stands, he gave Holt a hug. Same with Crean. Once the precedent was set, other players may have assumed that they'll just get a slap on the wrist if they got caught. Fortunately, Devin survived and recovered but Crean threw all 3 strikes at Emmitt because he was soft to begin with and anything but expulsion would've led to his demise. theriverpilot 1 Quote
