Sean Miller wasnt extended until this season started and this was his last year. It is becoming more common for teams to do this now. If Crean were to stay he has next year to make a run at a title and if not he is gone regardless. So that is my light at the end of the tunnel. Knowing worse case we have one year left of this. Interesting though and as you read through it you can feel that there is this tension Arizona has about trying to keep him. Near the end, it is interesting to see that the football team is struggling somewhat financially. Perhaps this could be why Sean would leave what seems to be a great place. His speed is incredible and as long as he keeps his head on straight, he absolutely is a needed commodity on the team. He was near useless 2 months ago and now he is back to hitting 3s and so strong on the drives. Almost like Yogi bullying his way into the hoop. Definitely improving down the stretch. Not that Crean is burning any barns when it comes to recruiting of late, but other schools can use it against Crean and Indiana, and it can be enough to sway a kid based on "if I commit to Crean, will he be there for my 4 years at Indiana"... as I see it, that's the real reasoning around the push to extend him or cut him loose. Kids know if they are good enough most the time a school will keep them on. It definitely shouldnt be an excuse for top ranked kids knowing 2 years is all their probably giving him. If he stayed by mid season next year we would all know. Glass would either be working on an extension or not which means he is done. Im pretty sure schools use him against us anyways lol. I never knew him to have sources before, and I would have been more inclined to believe him if he wasn't the 2nd biggest Crean apologist on that board (after HTD), or if he hadn't been responding to posters wanting Crean gone.
