Parrish and Norlander had a pretty extensive conversation on Friday's podcast about Crean and why NC State (or leaving IU in general) would be a smart move for him.

They made a really good point in that the "damage" is done with the fanbase. There really isn't any coming back from this, it's only going to become an uglier and uglier divorce.

Good point anything short of a NC and nobody is going to change their mind.

Well, he never said what he meant by locking down the borders so he could say he meant he was going to lock down the borders so he'd struggle to recruit players in his own backyard.

I think IU is gonna go after Archie. Gut feeling. I'd love it to be Stevens, Donovan, Marshall, Bennett- in that order..but something tells me those guys are just fine where they are.

Ive got a coworker who has connections to Ohio State, where Wilson ended up. From what they are saying, Wilson's departure happened to keep IU from being sued. There was a pending lawsuit by families and Wilson leaving put out that fire.

Except iu always waits a year or two long to understand the obvious. Trust me the iu admins are fully cable of screwing this up.

I heard this on the radio the other day. UCLA reached out to hire Branch McCracken twice, and twice he turned down the job. Ultimately they hired John Wooden. IU reached out to hire Bobby Slick Leonard twice, and twice he turned down the job. IU then hired Bob Knight. And if the rumors are true, IU has reached out to Stevens twice now. Let's hope the man we hire is a home run!

Also, did anyone else read the GQ article about Jay Wright? Two things that stood out to me:
1. How far away Tom Crean is from ever being featured in a men's fashion magazine.
2. Jay Wright has a motto of "Players play for their teammates and coaches; Actors play for the crowd". I agree and can't help but wonder why IU only plays for the crowd. I wish Thomas Bryant would read that line.

Could he read it without crying though?  Priority number one should be getting his emotional stability beyond that of a toddler.

Man, you could read some of their posts about a Donovan/IU connection and actually hear them crap themselves.  That has to happen just to make the Illwhini soil themselves.
