When searching google for Crean and hot seat or potential coaching candidates being mentioned with Indiana, be sure to include the right year. I found this article mentioning Archie and Indiana from a couple of years ago. It reads like it could have been written this year. https://www.google.com/amp/bustingbrackets.com/2015/03/04/daytons-archie-miller-answer-indiana-hoosiers/amp/

It varies depending on the institution.  Children of IU employees get 50% off tuition.

It was free up until a few years ago. So a lot of people are still grandfathered in.

Edit: I know of at least IUPUI and IU are that way. Can't say on others, but IPFW was PU backed. With their transition away from PU I don't know what happens there.

I've worked at IU Bloomington since 1995 and, in that time, it's always been half-price for dependents.  As employees, we get 3 free credit hours and then 3 half priced credit hours each semester.  Granted, I'm a staff member, so it's possible that it's different for faculty, but I'm pretty sure it's the same for everybody.

Gotcha. My aunt has worked at IUPUI for the same timeframe and it is free. It was around 2010 they changed it. I thought? My cousin goes there for free. I assumed that was an IU thing cause IPFW wasn't like that. Maybe a satellite thing? Her name is Bethany Neal-Beliveau. But I know my cousin goes for free.

Edit: I apologize in advance if anyone went to IUPUI and had her and had a bad experience lol. She takes Psychology seriously.

The wife works for USI here in Evansville. 75% off of tuition for family, just to give a reference for state schools.

Of course, this scenario would never happen, but......

Assuming that one had a chance to lure Donovan or Stevens to IU, but not until say, 2019/2020, would you consider approaching coach Knight about coming back for a one or two year contract to stabilize the program, heal the fan base, mend fences, then hand off to one of the two or more aforementioned coaches?

Be nice, I'm only tossing this out for discussion.

There is no way in bloody hell that this happens. RMK is gone... and he ain't never coming back. If he didn't come back for the 40th anniversary of the '76 undefeated NCAA champion team, he's just flat not coming back. Not sure I'd want him any where near our program, given his current level of immaturity, vitriol and stubbornness.

And I WAS being nice. Gonna toss this right out OF the discussion.

Frank Martin is being labeled a sleeper pick for NC State. Which would open up South Carolina. That and LSU would be perfect jobs. He would be even closer to his best friend Calipari.

As much as I want Crean out, I don't want him at SC either. I live in Gamecock country, and I hope Frank stays for a few more years.

Yep guy might be a great coach. But I don't see the potential that some do.

I see a lot of equivalents here to Tim Miles a few years ago at Nebraska.

He caught fire and took Nebraska to the tournament for the first time in a while, but has not been able to maintain any semblance of success since then.

A lot of IU fans got caught up in the moment and wanted us to give Tim Miles a look because of that, but lo and behold, water has found its level again out there.

Obviously no two situations are the same, but making the tournament one time at Northwestern shouldn't be enough to qualify someone for the IU job.

It was only one game. Saw parts of the win at Wisconsin but not enough to focus on Collins. A win there alone is impressive.

Need to see some Dayton games but I always seem to miss those.
