I started watching IU basketball during the 1981 season. Obviously, that season ended well, and I've been hooked ever since. I've seen some really good years and struggled through some not so good years. I'm definitely not an influential booster, but I have traveled the 3 hour trip to Bloomington for many games over the years, and have contributed to the University in other ways. Ive sustained a great appreciation for IU basketball through RMK's final few years when it seemed he had lost interest, through the Davis years, to the Sampson debacle. Through all of that, I have to say that I'm at a point where if Glass is content with these mediocre bi-polar seasons, I've lost my passion. I can find other ways to spend my time and money if he feels this is a satisfactory product. The days of being a fan through thick and thin have gone the way of a player playing with the same team for their whole career. It's all about the $$ now, and I'll find plenty of other places to spend mine.

God how I wish someone would grill him with that line of questioning. Show him our average noncon SOS and tell him to explain. I fully believe he wants the padded wins and to say "Hey look, I won 20 games this year!". There is no other reason to schedule the teams we do.

You mean some teams actually use the non conference schedule to improve themselves and not just pad wins???

I love the Crean defenders trying to say everyone does it. Sure, everyone sprinkles in a few, but not like Tommy does. Top 10 or bottom 100. How is that making the team better? Nebraska answered that question.

Not to mention, it's almost a guarantee that some poor kid is gonna have a season ending injury at some point next season anyway with the way our luck goes.  

He will have an excuse every year he stays or glass let's him stay. This needs to end this april.

definitely not a crean defender but plenty of teams schedule more +150 rpi teams then they probably should. Where crean takes it to the next level is the +300 teams. While studying team resumes. Iu had 8 wins against the +150 (4 of those +300teams, and 3 of those +240 teams) bringing a non con sos of 167.

Duke had 6 wins against +150 rpi teams (1 of those +300 teams and 3 of those +200 rpi, with the others 2 high +100) bringing non con sos of 99.
If iu would of played 4 game against cupcakes closer to 200 rpi instead of over 300 rpi they would of improved their non con sos and still played cupcakes.

Northwestern is everyone's feel good story on them making the tournament this year.
6 wins against +200 rpi in non con and 2 others +130. Bringing non con sos to 221[emoji15]
Worst yet of their 7 wins in league @ohio st and and win against IU(no OG, no James) is their best wins. Northwestern has an rpi of 31 with a non con sos or 221. Teams could and should take advantage of scheduling to boost their rpi (hello Florida) I just wish our approach would do the same

I would like to have honest answers to a ton of questions but I'm not sure he's capable of anything except coach talk. The scheduling cost us a seed line last season. You would think that's enough to reconsider the scheduling for most but not for our "fearless" leader.

Fox News talked about some colleges planning on reaching out to Hoiberg if returning next year to Chicago seems unlikely. Didn't name any schools, but said it will likely be a big name school. It seems like this could pick up steam if we head towards a new coach. I don't know how he would fit, but I actually like Hoiberg a lot. Just don't know about for us.

I get that trust me. Idk though when I actually picture him here I like it for some reason. He hasn't been a coach for a long time and he is still growing. Has respect in every circle. Good recruiter and developer. Good or bad if he can deal with Rondo, Wade and Butler and before Rose and Noah then I think college kids will be a piece of cake. If he could bring in a big time defensive coach on the staff and is willing to accept help I could get on board. Stevens and Donovan are pipe dreams. After those two Hoiberg is just as good as others we can get. I would take Bennett over him though.

There was a lot of talks of him going back to college if NBA doesn't work out. He has definitely worked out and if KD hadn't choked he would probably have a ring of very close to it. Simple though I have followed OKC for RW and now Vic and one thing is 100% with them...they don't give ya long and if RW leaves they could go a different direction. Scott Brooks built a great foundation only to get fired. I think he is a great NBA coach and probably gets another job without having to come back to college. Donovan likes stability though which is hope for a return to college and we are one of the best jobs besides Duke and possibly UNC in 5 years that can open up. It isn't very likely hence the word dream lol.

And please dont mention Russ's extension because after next year he is gone if the Thunder don't make a big move. I love Victor but he isn't a #2 option. He is a #3. They need someone else.
