Thing is, he hasn't even had a great enough roster to do anything with yet. I can't imagine what he could do if Danny Ainge put a really good roster together.I imagine Crean will be here until at least 2019. We can't offer an extension to him however unless he lands some amazing recruits and or gets us to the championship game. He hasn't deserved a second extension. We simply can't afford Glass to offer an extension. To say it will hurt recruiting doesn't concern me, we've been striking out in free agency for the past two years. That is the scenario I see but i dont understand what good a 2 to 3 year extension does other they delay the inevitable even longer. How many years is the cycle going to continue? The comment was made from Ainge along the lines of --now we can put to rest all those IU rumors-- when it was announced.
