Neither should a loss to IPFW.  My expectations with Crean are pretty low, but not that low.

That one Final Four isn't his true coaching caliber, but neither is missing the NCAA tournament with 2 McDs AAs (still can't believe he managed that one....).  He's somewhere in between.  Problem is we're paying for a Final Four caliber coach because Crean could sell ice to an eskimo.

Mentioned it yesterday, but Crean has like no track record of developing bigs. Bryant looks marginally better from the end of last year. Like how does that happen

I think you're being a bit generous.  I do think his whining and pouting has doubled though.

A loss to Nebraska at home should never happen either but ...

Duke got smashed by VT and UNC lost to GT. Those losses happen in conference play, but not an excuse. This will literally be the first time I have ever said this, but I mean it.....Tom Crean needs to be fired. This is it. He needs to go. I am tired of being so inconsistent. When were good were really good, but when we play bad it is embarrassing.

Yeah probably. I'm pissed, so I thought posting about how he might look worse would just be an emotional response. But compare Davis in the post today against Bryant, even more when you consider like none of us expected much of anything offensively from Davis this year

Both games on the road Duke missing one of there starters and VT is 12-1 now. GT is 9-4 so at least they are above .500

It's amazing that we suck so bad, but I guess it's not surprising.  We have great talent, Final Four players, but we're terrible.  The shortcoming is the coaching.  There needs to be a change there.  If we want to be successful, there needs to be a change.

Look at two players from today, Josh Newkirk and James Blackmon.  One is an out of state low ranked player, one is an in state McD's AA.  Both of them have poor basketball iq's.  Both of them had multiple plays today where they ran to the basket, jumped, then tried to decide what to do with the ball.  Terrible basketball.  This seems to be proof that it doesn't matter where a player is from or where he was ranked.  What's the commonality?  The coach seems to encourage this type of play.  The coach needs to be replaced.

Fire him.  Fire him soon.  Fire him midseason.  He needs to go for us to improve.

He's actually digressed. He's like 20 points lower on FG%. Still can't rebound the ball for a guy his size. Looks like he wears cinder blocks for shoes...

Davis actually goes to the post, where Bryant wants to set up camp on the perimeter.  That's a plus.

Oh yeah I know all about his shooting decline..... its just weird, usually it happens because an increase in usage/shots. But he's barely shooting the ball more. Chances are its because he doesn't have a play maker out there to create for him as much.
