coonhounds Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I'm as vocal against Crean as anyone is and I wouldn't get rid of him mid season unless the crap really hits the fan.it's hitting the fan! I think it could be good to let the kids get used to the idea of not playing for crean and to let the entire coaching community know we will be looking for a head coach for sure. What are some of the drawbacks? MikeRoberts, Josh, WayneFleekHoosier and 2 others 5 Quote
BlueDevil Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Just a question and not my pick but what about a guy like Elston leading them the rest of the season? I know he is brand brand new but I am not sold on any of he other assistants either. I think Elston is a guy that gets it. Bobman1 1 Quote

Hovadipo Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Oh. Geno Auriemma? Always wondered how he would do in the men's game. Quote
Josh Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Let's be honest. Pat Summitt would be better than Crean right now. Quote
OliviaPope40 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Let's be honest. Pat Summitt would be better than Crean right now. Her overall record looks pretty darn good 1,098–208 (.841) mamasa 1 Quote
brandct Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I don't have any coaching experience, but I do have experience making people respect me and listen to me. They know there will be consequences if they do not do what is expected of them. That is something that this team desperatly needs at this point. Quote
Feathery Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 If actually just call Coach Knight and inquire. Lol Pipedream I know. He would knock the entitlement out of these players and make them play defense or sit the entire game. Or call the local Indy radio personality DD. I know both aren't good ideas but it just shows you how little I trust the current staff. Quote

Alford Bailey Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Firing Crean now worries me a bit. If the guys go out and play decent for an assistant we may end up pulling a Mike Davis.Start looking now but make it official in March. Quote

I know Crean always takes goofy pics, but they seem to always find the worst. WayneFleekHoosier, ThompsonHoosier, MikeRoberts and 2 others 5 Quote

Pretty unusual move for SC to use that picture. Quote
BlueDevil Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 When Allen was asked to compare IU's defenses to other defenses Duke had faced this year, this was his answer, verbatim, after a long pause: "Um, you know they're, uh, they're obviously different than a Kentucky defensively, because they're not...they don't have the same size, but um, uh, their guards—Yogi (Ferrell), (Robert) Johnson, um, Blackmon, they're all quick. Um, and they can kind of get to the ball. Um, they don't have, uh, Bryant being their lone true big at the rim to protect, so it's kind of different inside, but their guards do a good job of being quick and getting to the ball." Quote
