North Carolina? Yes, I think Roy should be fired. Underperformer as of late and a cheater. UNC could be WAY stronger.

Duke? Lost a neutral site game to Kentucky. Won National championship last year. Recruiting as the best. Top 2 program last 20 years. Get real.

Wichita State? It's Wichita State! "Shocking" they are even mentioned in same breath as UNC and Duke. For that reason alone, he deserves leeway.

Indiana? Historical top 10 program behaving like a mid tier power program for 8 years. Not our first terrible loss and not our last. Recurring themes of bad play.

I totally agree. But I think it starts with him. There has to be a shift in culture and accoutability. If Crean goes all in on d it will be contagious

It really amazes me that people still support Crean. What in Crean's 20 years of coaching makes people think things are ever going to change? He is a good recruiter, a wonderful promoter and BSer, and a below average coach. His team's have always played undisciplined on offense, and nonexistent on defense. It's the same now as it was from day 1. Just better talent now which is enough to get wins, but not enough to take us to the next level. His team's always have a low basketball IQ and that's a direct reflection of coaching. Take away 1 year with a future HOF at Marquette and what has Crean done? Nothing! He is what he is, and that's a below average coach!

Oh hey I was waiting for this defense to be used. Who did you compare us to last year, or the year before or the year before. See it is a pattern here while at those schools it is often either the exception or the motivator to change things.

All of those teams can take occasional losses during the year because they often find ways to make runs in the tourney. Over Creans tenure he has made one run. Pattern.

I said it last year as well but surely with the hype and expectations around this team this year an early tourney exit will have Crean packing bags. Final Four is a pipe dream. We will get out coached way before then and we are so freakin easy to game plan for. I predict a 5-8 seed so we will play a good team first round.

For me personally, I'll cheer the team on but have no expectations. I do think the team can get hot at the right time and make a run, but so can a lot of teams.

I was watching the game last night with my dad, a duke fan, and with 3.2 seconds left he said "plenty of time, I bet you'll get an open 3 to win or find Williams cutting for a dunk." But I had zero confidence we would win. I mean, at least last year Yogi would get a shot off. But when you're surprised your coach actually drew something up in the first place, and 100% expect to lose in a close game situation, you know it's time.

But, it's somewhat irrelevant IMO because the athletic department doesn't care about being elite or winning. Kind of sad that my time at a blue blood basketball program is in the midst of a very "meh" period

So… We have numerous McDonald's all Americans, three players in the wooden award top 50, wake forest has several players suspended and their best player injured, wake is untangled and we managed to lose in the closest thing to a test that actually shouldn't of even that a test?

This hurts more than other upsets of top 20 teams primarily because the Hoosiers have so much to prove this year. My fear is with their play yesterday evening they have proven something, but not what we might have hoped.

I'm only 29 years old and in my entire lifetime I have witnessed just two deep tournament runs. Pretty sad. One of the guys who works with me witnessed all 3 of Knights championships. He tells me all the time, that he feels terrible for the younger generations bc we will likely never get to enjoy Indiana Basketball the way they did. I'm beginning to lose hope and that's a bad sign for our program. The leadership has beaten me into submission.

He gets them prepared and he recruits like a boss but can't play defense for them

He gets them prepared?   Really?   That's why we gave up 50 in the first half yesterday, right?   They're in great shape...but "prepaed?"   Disagree.

 

He recruits like a boss?  Really?  A good recruiter builds teams that can succeed at a high level year after year.  Crean can get kids to say yes, but who has he recruited who can lead?  Who has he recruited that wants to defend?  Who has he recruited that is good off the ball and does little things that make a team better?  He had a team that won the Big Ten 2 years ago, and then finished 8th and 7th.  Where was the "recruiting like a boss" then?   Vonleh didn't give a damn and didn't want to be here.  He was a bad fit.

 

There's a difference between being a good recruiter and getting kids to say yes.  I don't need to re-hash this anymore, but if people can't see the pattern by now, it doesn't matter.

Are the deep tourney runs when we went to the sweet sixteen or are you looking back to the FF with Calbert/Graham/Henderson and the championship game with Mike Davis?
