We are now Iowa, Minnesota, or Illinois. Except we have the torment of those 5 banners of what used to be looming over us forever. Alford Bailey 1 Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 If Glass can sit courtside at tonight's disaster and still feel confident that Crean's the man moving forward then he needs to go as well. Maybe you want 24 sports, one average team, Fred, but the people don't. Alford Bailey, GoIU8, LIHoosier and 2 others 5 Quote

Baseball is going downhill, basketball is a dumpster fire, football is okay I guess for IU standards, Volleyball sucks. What has Glass actually done to improve IU athletics. And please don't say revenue, that's coming in regardless of who is AD (not directed at you 2017, just talking in general) GoIU8 1 Quote

I agree with you though. When people talk about the good he has done it seems like the vast majority of it is related to revenue, building new facilities, getting donations, stuff like that. Rarely do I hear people mention the successes programs are having on the field/court. I really don't want to hear talk about all the money he's bringing in now since he gave up an opportunity to make free money because he was afraid of his coach getting booed. VO5 1 Quote

schoosier Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 AD Glass - "Assembly Hall is iconic. You've gotta be careful not to devalue it" This is excuse #3 for not playing in Assembly Hall. First renovations and then the students are on spring break as the other 2. This truly shows how incompetent our AD is, and he is in charge of overseeing the basketball program? And we have an aussie president who is completely clueless to everything as it has to do with athletics and Indiana basketball. Folks, we are doomed. Our administration has put us in this 20 year funk, and it's not getting any better. Hoosierfan2017, Napleshoosier, GloryDays and 1 other 4 Quote

I hope we can take the next step and get some 7-5, 8-4 seasons. The bowls are nice but we can't become complacent with 6-6 seasons and bowl losses. Walking Boot of Doom and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote
Hoosier82 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I was watching Around the Horn and lo and behold Indiana was on the agenda. The topic of discussion centered on Indiana not wanting to devalue Assembly Hall by playing an NIT home game. Fred really has given the school a black eye. It doesn't matter if that wasn't the real reason. It's about public perception. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

DChoosier Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Fred essentially "threw" the game. It is a real issue if Fred cannot reflect on what he did (put HIS team/school in a much worse position to win) and realize that he has to part ways with TC. Quote

Brass Cannon Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Even if we Fire Crean and land a homerun hire if I was a Trustee I would advocate for waiting a few months and quietly replacing Glass. Dude has not done his job which is to protect and care for IU athletics. Baseball is Regressing. Football and Basketball have been **** shows for different reasons dragging the university in the mud. Soccer is struggling to get back to the upper tier. Glass has reached his peak and its just not good enough. Get Calbert in here as AD or something. Hoosierfan2017 1 Quote
