Not to be a jerk-face or anything, but is it fair to say that our home field advantage might be jes' a little less than for a team like Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, etc.?

Therefore, could we be getting an 'empty stadium advantage' in our road games that outweighs our 'empty stadium home game dis-advantage' this year?

Jerk-face. I agree with what you said, I just wanted to type out jerk-face

This ^^ got me curious. I've never cared about way-too-early rankings for college football. But I sure do now :-)

ESPN - #10

Klatt - #7

Sporting News - #16

CBS - #13

Bleacher Report - #10

247 - #16

Stadium - N/R (technically #30) this is the wackiest of top 25 rankings I've looked up so far for what it's worth

It also looks like we landed at #12 in the final AP poll. All in all, incredible. Yet a convincing win in the bowl game and we probably end up #6.

I thought dropping 5 spots was a bit extreame for a 6 point loss to Ole Miss. i expected to drop to 10th. Not being able to claim a top 10 finish will hopefully provide our guys with all the locker room material they need this off-season to come back even better next year.

Right. I hope we approach this offseason the same way OSU approached theirs last year. Post the bowl score all over the place. I hope this is a time where the staff allow the earmuffs and blinders to be taken off for a while to add as much fuel to the fire as possible. Now, if we've gotten to this point...close loss to OSU where we shot ourselves in the foot too much, disrespect from the CFP committee, pushed aside for OSU to play in the title game, not getting to curb stomp PU, getting passed up for a NY6 bowl, getting pushed down the bowl pecking order, and flopping like that in the bowl game. If anyone on the team still needs to find some bulletin board material, they need to be sent instructions on how to enter the transfer portal.

UGA DB’s coach Charlton Warren hired as IUFB’s new Defensive Coordinator. Warren has experience at Air Force, UNC, Tennessee, Florida, and Nebraska. Has spent the past two years with Georgia. Ranked the 23rd best recruiter by 247Sports.

His reputation as a recruiter exceeds his reputation as a developer of skills.

I’m not sure how much development of talent DC’s do. I’m more interested in his game management/preparation skills along with recruiting. The development comes from the position coaches

Kind of a nice little story about Peyton Ramsey. He talks about his time in Bloomington, his relationship with his former teammates and the chance (very remote) that NW could've played us in the B1G title game. Says he was disappointed that Penix got the gig over him in 2019, but understood the decision. And since he was able to graduate and transfer without sitting out the 2020 season, he figured it was time to move on ...

Allen makes a splash hire once again - Kansas City Chiefs RB Coach Deland McCullough will return to Indiana and replace the vacancy left by Mike Hart’s departure. McCullough was the RB Coach for the Hoosiers from 2011-2016, coaching both Jordan Howard and Tevin Coleman to the NFL.

That's an upgrade over what we had.
