IUFB Offseason Updates

keeping him from the late Colorado push was huge.

Great judgement and persistence from the staff to stick with him even after the decommit.  It would have been easy take offense and give up on him.

But they didn't.  I'd guess we proved who has the superior coaching staff and program trajectory vs. the glitz and glam of a Colorado recruiting trip (I know I'm being biased, CO is okay).

And so far it's paying off for Byron, which is great.  Hopefully he has a great season.

I am looking forward to that game.

I just don't see IL living up to all the hype. I am going to put some $$ down on our game with them.

It's their schedule and the fact that they're returning every starting OL (think IUFB 2023 had the OL stayed together). But digging deep into the roster and last year's production, on paper, they have some major holes to fill. We'll see it pretty early on for them when they travel to Duke.

It’s quite an achievement to even make this list — the other programs discussed are huge and established, like 50-75% more player payroll than we have (for now).

And our staff is only 18 months in!

An objective assessment?

ESPN just ranked us the current 12th best team in the nation for NFL development.

One year after our standing was ‘worst P4 team ever’.
