$55M buyout.  Not sure they fire him midseason with that much at stake, plus they are spending a ton on their stadium.

As for our game vs them… not sure if it’s good or bad.

Honestly it’s the one job that worries me when it comes to our guy… if they want him.

I want PSU to win this game for a few reasons.

And there is is…

The long history of IU football being sad sacks. We’re not good enough to keep Cig, because that’s our narrative throughout.

So tired (and positive Cig is too) of the “woe is me” mentality. Whitten and Dolsen have made it crystal clear that Cig is their guy, and they are going to do whatever it takes to keep him in Bloomington.

Time for the fanbase to take on Cig’s personality and show a little confidence/cockiness. We’re not the laughing stock anymore.

I had a billionaire Florida booster tell me last weekend that the money is there to pony up $15M for a coach like Cignetti.  He told me that was his guy.

Not that it means the school will offer or get him, but big money will be looking at him after this season.

Cig does not come across as a guy that wants to takeover an already established premiere program, he wants to build one! Which is what he is doing in Bloomington and he will get all the credit, which he deserves, maybe build a new stadium if the current one cannot be renovated adequately as our program becomes elite! Curt Cignetti will be immortal at IU for decades to come and we are damn lucky to have him! Hopefully some kid doesn't bait him into grabbing his arm or something....because then, regardless of how much success he has had he would need to be fired! ;-)

Chill out.  I just said I had some worries because if they want they could offer a lot more than us. That’s the reality.  And I could see him succeeding there (more than somewhere outside of his wheelhouse like Florida).

I couldn’t be more excited or positive about IUFB.  I actually care enough to talk to people around the program I think Cig moving is pretty unlikely.  I’m not losing sleep over this, but there is some risk out there like it or not.

Don’t need to chill out.

Current coach has made us relevant for the first time ever. Time to start acting like it.

Yesterday was a net positive for us, probably mostly driven by the PSU loss.  Our playoff odds went from +132 (43%) going into week six to -115 (53%) today.

Sweet.

I see why our playoff odds went up.  I do not understand why IU would not have better odds.  We did give Illinois their only loss so far and they were ranked #9.  We also beat a tough Iowa team on the road.

Unless the ratings are by ESPN who will rank Miami as #1 and some SEC team with losses ahead of Indiana, IU will move up to displace Penn State with 2 losses.  Ranked a possible #8.

When IU goes to Oregon on Oct. 11 the Hoosiers could win one of the biggest contests in the country.   Oregon does not play any other top-ranked teams this regular season.

This program could, well...just win, team!
