Hoosierfan2017 Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 5 years ago a not insignificant contingent of NFL fans thought that Belichick, not Tom Brady, was the reason for the Patriots’ success. Fast forward 5 years and Tom won a ring in his first year with a different team, Bill got fired by the Patriots, no other NFL team wanted him, and now he’s getting blown out at home by a crappy Clemson team. Stuhoo Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 Purdue kicks off to start the second half and not one but two dead ball penalties on Purdue on the kickoff; offsides and they kick it out of bounds. Lol Pagoda 1 Quote
Hovadipo Posted October 4, 2025 Author Posted October 4, 2025 Altmeyer is 14/15 for 306 and a TD in one half and change. I wonder how he would fare against a team like Indiana???? go iu bb, southsidehoosier, Pagoda and 2 others 5 Quote

DChoosier Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 PU is not all that good but they have greatly improved this year. As we know…shows what a good coach can do. I’ve changed my pre-season thought that at PU would basically be a scrimmage. They will put up a fight. Pagoda 1 Quote

However, with our D, I feel like we match up much better with "offense heavy" teams such as Purdue. Its the defense heavy teams that worry me more, even if they happen to have a sputtering offense. TheWatShot Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 Illinois's offensive line has been highly unimpressive today. Quote
TTT Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 And Illinois wins…..the award for the preseason most overrated team. (their high ranking was from last year’s success for second half of season and returning players with experience….how many past years before this era did IU have young players that were supposed to get better and a year later IU returned experience to struggle to win 5 games….they were never going to be good enough. Quote
TTT Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 The lopsided IU win vs Illinois is a bad omen for IU vs Oregon game due to Illinois not being that good….It’s a good win for IU but not as good as it looked. Quote
