Both teams are in. Both teams know they have at least one, and very likely two more games to attend. The only other time I remember it remotely close to the above was like the third time in a row Wisconsin made it, they didn’t have a chance at a title and most people figured they’d get killed by Ohio state again. They didn’t travel that year and frankly Ohio state went every year too. I can almost see the SEC and Big Ten conf championship games getting like this every year where neither of them really matter and the fans don’t care to pay a ton to be there. I wonder if we begin to see players sit out of a meaningless conference championship game to rest up for the playoffs. Quote

That is crazy that Stubhub has BT Conference Championship tickets available for only $12.:With Stubhub fees that’s probably a reasonable $78. taco corp, CSP, go iu bb and 1 other 1 3 Quote

While that would be sweet, my dream is for IU to come up here and beat Notre Dame in South Bend. And I say this as someone who has rooted for ND my whole life. I will paint my body red and white and streak across their campus if that happens. Alford Bailey, BtownStrength, Home Jersey and 2 others 5 Quote

A chance for hardware in the case, a week to rest while scouting your potential opponents vs no championship trophy and playing a potential road game seems like a no brainer to me. I would assume winning the conference is a goal set during the offseason and pretty high up there on the list. Who knows man, maybe these players see a conference championship as meaningless? Personally, I don't, but that's just me. Quote

Hoosierfan2017 Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Conference championship games should all be played on campus. Neutral site games are lame. College football should be played on campus. Quote

Hovadipo Posted December 7, 2024 Author Posted December 7, 2024 Highly suggest the SEC Network feed of UGA UT, especially if you have surround sound. SkyCam, no announcers with just stadium audio. The perfect viewing experience. Home Jersey 1 Quote

BtownStrength Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 So who are we rooting for in the SEC game? I don't really want either of these teams in a road environment and I feel like Georgia winning is the best way to avoid both. DChoosier 1 Quote
LIHoosier Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 If you're gonna double team Kirby, at least toss your stupid visor instead of jumping around like an idiot. Quote

They don't deserve that. I think Oregon and/or Texas would be ranked ahead of them after a loss. I'm also rooting for Clemson to win so they knock Alabama out. Basically, **** both ND and Alabama. Let's see what happens is SMU loses to Clemson -- especially if they lose badly. I don't trust that the committee would keep Alabama out. I am rooting for Georgia to beat Texas. I figure Georgia is then the 2 and Texas the 5. That would move Penn State to 6, Notre Dame 7, Ohio State 8, Tennessee 9 and IU 10. I would think that would end with IU playing Notre Dame should Penn State lose to Oregon and IU playing Penn State should the Nittany Lions lose to Oregon. Quote

If Penn State loses, I think ND jumps them. I would definitely like your scenarios of playing ND or PSU if it works out like you think. Quote

Lebowski Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 The players have openly said they want another crack at O$U. Not sure if that's possible but I concur with the players.
