LamarCheeks Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Hoping for the best for Mike Leach. Word is he had a massive heart attack. I recall a few years back, the same happening to Bob Huggins -- obits essentially were being written -- and he made it. Hope Leach can make a similar recovery. How can you not appreciate a coach who talks about candy corn in an on-field, post-game interview. The sports world needs characters like him ... craigyv88, Alford Bailey, HoosierAloha and 1 other 3 1 Quote

I get CPR certified at work for situations like that. Not that I'll save a life but hopefully I can help just enough until someone that knows what they're doing shows up. I've had extensive lifesaving training in the past but basic CPR can be the difference in life or death and doesn't require much time/effort. I believe the classes are relatively cheap too. Sad Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk I don't know the details but it's possible he wasn't found for that long. People having heart attacks can act weird and will often go somewhere to be alone. I had a co-worker die of a heart attack at work, even though there are about 20 people there (including myself) who are trained in CPR. Guy wasn't feeling well so he went into the bathroom and sat in a stall. It was sad, especially since there were people around who could've helped him. So it's possible it could have been something like that with Leach. HoosierAloha 1 Quote

For every minute that passes without treatment after sudden cardiac arrest the chance of survival drops 10%. Please seek help/offer help if somebody near you describes chest pain. Don't wait.
